I thought they were like unicorns.

LOL!

or little leprechauns!

Haha, yes, often heard of but never seen, a female that actually lifts heavy weights…

I haven’t made it to the gym yet today but I have been wanting to take a back picture just to see what it looked like for myself. The amount of weight I can lift has really been going up lately so I think I can see why in this picture, lol.

Yeah so I never did get to the gym yesterday but I did get in all the muscle groups today so I guess that works.
I have been hitting PRs in everything else so I thought I would see what I could do with my DL…

DL 1x6x135, 1x5x155, 1x5x175, 1x5x185, 1x3x205, 1x1x225, 1x1x245 PR, yay! 1x1x185, 1x8x135 > which felt like I was picking up air after the 245, lol!

and after this my lower body workout kinda went down hill…

HS Lat Pull down 3x8x140

HS Seated Tricep dip 3x8x140

Goblet Squat 2x6x70

Cable Row 1x8x70
this is the point where I had to go eat something and sit…

So yay! for DL PR, even though it crashed my CNS, I am happy I did it, haven’t tried that since Christmas…
I wish I got it on video but I wasn’t planning on doing it so I didn’t have my camera with me :frowning:

YAY!!

And look at that lat pulldown, WOW! No wonder your back is looking BUFF,

Congratulations of the PR. It seems to be going around. I wonder if there’s something in the water lately.

It’s funny how the lighter weight just seems to float up after you go heavy like that. I almost want to try it every time to make the working sets easier.

Again. Good on you!

Thanks!

I have to owe my lat pull down to the HS machines. I was stuck at 100-115 with the regular lat pull down but some how with the HS machine I can really grind out the movement where before i just couldn’t. I love Hammer Strength machines.

There must be something going around because every log I read on this thread has new PRs set.

I was funny when I was deloading for a few sets w/ the 135, I picked it up at first and it flew up so fast I thought I may hurt myself, lol.

I know I used to go to the gym all the time at 4am but getting back to it this morning it really hit me that there is a big difference in me at 4am in comparison to me later in the day or morning for that matter. Does this mean I’m getting old?!?!?!?

Bench Press 1x10x45, 1x10x65, 1x8x85, 2x5x95, 2x5x115, 1x4x115, 1x1x125
I figure if I keep doing at least 1x1 of the 125 I won’t lose it…

T Bar Row 3x8x55

HS ISo ROw 2x8x180, 1x6x200

Incline DB BEnch 2x10x30
HEre is where the 4am bit really hit me…

NG DB Bemch 3x8x35

Back extension 1x8x35

At this point I just wanted to get home, today is my first day of my new job and I wanted to get ready

Hopefully its just a matter of getting used to the early morning again…is this how its going to be now with your new job?
Happy first day!!

I’m going to be a float so, after I train, which will take up to 6mnths plus some 3rd shift work, I may have to change shifts every week…
Luckaly my gym is open 24 houra but it will still be challenging depending on my energy level…

thinks
Maybe I wasn’t lifting this heavily last time I went to the gym at 4am? It actually wasn’t so bad this morning though I had to cut out one exercise because the gym was just getting over run with people and I wasn’t able to get teh DBs I needed plus I had to come home and get ready.

SLDL 1x45x12, 1x95x12, 3x145x8, 1x95x12

Seated leg Press 1x20x180, 1x10x270, 3x5x360, 1x5x450

Barbell CUrls 3x8x50, 3x6x60

Split squats … COuldn’t get to them, will fit in later in the week…

It’s offical, 4am is a weak time of the day for me. Though I think alot of it has to do with my muscles and joints not being as flexable as they are later in the day. I guess that is what happens when you roll out of bed and head to the gym.

HS Lat Pull down 1x8x90, 3x8x110
Last weak I was able to do 3x8x140 but this time when I grabbed the handles and went to sit down I could barely keep my ass on the seat, lol. I managed one but I wasn’t going to be able to keep for the rest of exercise.

Cable Row 3x10x70

Upright Row 5x8x50

Corner BB Press 3x8x25
These felt hard today…bleh

One Arm DB Row 3x5x45, 3x3x50
To make up for my weakness I wanted to go up in one weight so because I wasn’t having a problem with this and I haven’t gone up in the one in FOREVER, I did. NOw that I have done it…I so could of done it earlier…

Back extensions 1x8xno weight, 3x8x35

Goodmornings 2x8x45
I sort of need to go back to these and see how my back feels…

I’m with you on the morning being weak. Years ago I was in the military. In basic training we did PT every day at 5:30. I threw up every day. My body wasn’t ready for it; particularly without food. Even now, I find I usually feel stronger late afternoon versus 10 am.

How are you finding the g. mornings? I started them again a few weeks ago and can already see a difference in my back.

I used to do GM before but w/ the squats and DL my lower back had alot of trouble with them so I stopped. SInce I have gone back I can’t say I see any difference in my back w/ muscles. Though it isn’t a back exercise exactly I know if does hit them a bit. What I found worked the best for my back and has shown a noticable difference in less then a a month is back extentions. I can actaully feel my spinal erectors where before I couldn’t.
I am glad they are working so well for you though. I liked them because I felt a difference in my hamstrings that I wasn’t getting in SLDLs.

I find good mornings hit my lower back more than any other muscle group. I was just admiring how my spinal erectors are starting to really thicken up. It’s funny the things we start to admire. Do you ever find youself checking out you back and thinking ooooh, lot at my lats

Totally!

That is part of why I took that back picture, I could kinda see it in the mirror but I wanted to get the full effect.

I really want to get a picture of my hamstrings but the only time they are visible is when I bend over, and I don’t have anyone to take that pic, lol.

umm, er, uhh, no comment! lol…
