Complexes are my fall back…
DL, SLDL, Row, Front Squat, GM, Back Squat
45x10x9x8x7x6x5x4x3x2x1
all with in 35 mins…
Bench Press 1x10x45, 1x8x95, 1x5x115, 4x3x135, 1x10x95, 2x5x95 w/ 5 sec pauses
T Bar row 1x8x45, 1x8x55, 1x8x70
HS Iso Row 1x8x45, 1x8x70, 1x8x80, 1x8x90
HS High Row 1x10x45, 1x8x70, 1x6x80
The Bench presses with the pausing was something I played around with before but this time, with the 5 sec pause, I could really feel it in my abs. It is not like they are tired now but at the moment I knew I was using them. Is that normal?
Also there is a guy at my gym, a competition body builder, unfortunately for me he is married b/c I find I quite enjoy him
However today him and his wife brought their son, maybe about 9 or 10 years old, and he followed his dad around and did everything he did, at a much lower, perhaps non-exsistant weight. His dad stayed with him and made sure he had good form and was doing everything right. It made me smile ![]()

Hi CBear! ![]()
I guess you are right. It is never something I thought about as when I bench I just touch my chest and bring it back up. The pausing really made me realize that though, it is something I am going to incorporate much more often.
What was great about the kid is that he totally took it all seriously and did his best. Like I said, it all just made me smile ![]()
so cute! and so painfull…

Back Squats 1x10x45, 1x8x95, 1x5x115, 1x5x135, 2x5x155, 2x5x185, 1x2x205, 1x5x135
Speed Box Squats 3x10x95
Single leg SLDL 3x8x45
I think I have something wrong with my left leg, I have no balence on that side. Anyone have any idea to strengthen those accessory muscles? The single leg SLDL looked like I was drunk w/ me falling all over the place ![]()
Cardio-ed
and I got a mani/pedi to get ready to go out tonight, this must be what it is like to be a cardio bunny ![]()
What part of specifically do you think is weaker? Any work you can do unilaterally should do it. But the trick is to do it consistently to make noticeable progress.

My problem on my left leg is that I have flat feet and the x-rays show, on both feet actually, that the tarsels are skewed and curve instead of being straight. I was not always good about wearing arch supporting orthotics but now that I have them I wear them. The problem is that I have trouble flexing my left foot for stairs or walking with out shooting pain every once in awhile. I have protected my foot/leg so much that I have lost some of the strength in that leg/calf/ankle area. I need to figure out a way to fix that b/c I refuse to walk with a limp when I am bare foot. Plus part of my job invovles running stairs, I can’t have pain shoot through my leg due to weak muscles when I am in an emergency situation.
I just new a new leg/foot… and a shoulder too ![]()
so…maybe some pre hab stuff for balance?? And making the muscle around those areas stronger I would assume. But really, I have no idea what I’m talking about! ![]()

Yeah, I was debating trying for 245 that day but I could already tell my back was going to be sore… it may be time for a belt…
