I decided to start my 5,3,1 cycle today so even though I deadlifted on Friday I started with DL this week so I could get some videos and so I would have a whole week till I squatted.
I did get videos of most of my squats though I have to say my knee isn’t feeling horrible right at the moment. My DLs felt really heavy today ![]()

My pateller tendon on my left knee is inflammed. It either has to do with my squat or deadlift. I am betting on my deadlift as it tends to hurt more with that as I increase the weight. Though I do the lifts so close together it is hard to say. I think it has to do with my foot and knee alignment during my lifts. That is why I took these videos in the way that I did so I could check my positioning.
The lifts didn’t feel wrong though I was told that my last lift just looked off, uneven. I will admitt that I was stand-offish about the lift as I am getting really tired of being in pain and I know the heavier I go the more pain I feel.
I would be the problem is your deadlift. I get knee pain pulling sumo. It’s alot of stress and pressure on your knees because you push out with your feet.

I am getting an MRI tomorrow to see if I have any tears. I hope not. I am also trying some accessory work and some strechs taht should help. hopefully ![]()

Idk what to call this, I ahve a barbell in a corner and a weight on one end, I hold it in my hand with my elbow bent and my hand by my shoulder and I push up from there at a slight angle. It’s all my shoulders will let me do. I started with a 25lb weight and moved down to a 10 lb weight as the 25 was starting to bother the shoulder.
