Roids and Alcohol

With new years coming up and the recent start of a cycle, I wanted to get everyone’s take on having a “Couple of drinks” to bring in the new year. I looked around for any posts on this but could not find any? I know drinking is bad and goes against what I / most of us are trying to do but will a few here or there kill ya?

If you are taking steroids that are causing liver stress you will want to avoid as much alcohol as possible.

Keep it under control but don’t prevent yourself from having fun.

Having a hangover during the next days workout will suck though.

You know what my cycle consists of, I wouldn’t think it’s that stressful of a setup? If I do drink it will be limited and I will slam water between each drink… Just say no to hangovers!

simple little cycle.
drinking is fine in moderation, like anytime dont overdo it.

the issue won’t really be liver problems with this,but more of the hormonal thing.
will you turn into a happy drunk,a mean pissed off one,a lifetime original series sobbing one, you really dont know because your hormones will be changing around and too much may make you act a little bit more a fool than normal.

its a long shot but it can happen. I swear away forn hard liquor on cycle for this reason.
I tend to get a little “antsy” when drinking my nectar of choice (tequilla) and when im on cycle I get a little more antsy than normal so thats when I drink beer on my carb up days and thats about it,

I wouldn’t worry about it dude… one night of drinking won’t kill ya… just don’t do it every weekend on cycle… :wink: lol

your cycle isn’t liver toxic you should be fine. Only thing I see is what MaddyD said and the fact that alcohol isn’t anabolic so it may not hurt that bad but it’s certainly not going to be good for you. lol

only worry you’ll have in reguards to your liver is what the alcohol is doing. The Sus shouldn’t hurt your liver at all.

Drinking on cycle is not good for you (duh), but I’ve never found it to hurt me one way or the other except that I am convinced it raises estrogen levels. So keep a close watch on your bloat and nipple sensitivity and bump up your anti-e accordingly if you need to.

Honestly, as long as the user is not taking orals, I think it is a better idea to do your drinking on cycle rather than off, where cortisol production gets out of control and you can quickly lose a lot of the muscle you’ve spent so much effort and money acquiring.

Starting your nolva at week 12 is just way too early. Thats truly only one week after your last shot. Id personally wait at least 2.5 weeks after your last shot for the deconate ester in the sus to clear.

As for your other question regarding a couple drinks at new years. Live a little. Theres possibly a couple guys on this site that one day may in fact earn there pro card. As for the rest of us promoting a healtly lifestyle is one thing but to enjoy a holiday with some friends and family is another.

I drink minimally (when using injectables) for four reasons:

  1. If i drink too heavily then i will have a less productive workout or not train at all.
  2. I find that alcohol increases estrogen by some mode, increases aromatase or some shit.
  3. I am much more likely to use other drugs if i drink too much.
  4. It contains empty calories that ONLY turn to fat. One cannot burn alcohol calories which are 7kcal/g.

I wont drink if on an oral full stop.

No, I’m not a hermit living in a shed, but I know that I’m no longer lifting weights for mere self-image improvement. I’m betting the barn. I’m sacrificing the bod. I knew it to be so when my one-eyed pocket monkey decided to slumber after my bout with tren. This is just me. I will partake in the new years celebrations but I will sip apple cider because its tasty. Nothing else. Its ultimately your decision.

As for social deviance - for me it is definitely true. If i just wanted to have a decent body then it wouldnt be a problem, but as i have higher aims i need to sacrifice more… especially as i dont have the big gene, it means i need to concentrate all that much more.

Much respect, I only had 1 and 1/2 drinks, Captain and Coke. I am 100% for my workout today. On a side note, people think I am crazy for not drinking. Do people just have to give you a hard time for not drinking to make themselves feel better? I know later this year at the beach when everyone is asking what I do to stay in shape and if they can work out with me I will just laugh, because they have no idea of the year long sacrifice and dedication that they are obviously not capable of following.
