On the deads I worked up to 675 and it felt harder than I expected, I dropped the weight down to 635 and did a “triple” didn’t lock out the last rep because it would have blown up my hamstrings but the strength is there to do it so I wasn’t to concerned. Afterwards I weighed ever plate I used on the gym scale and they weighed out to 690.5 and 648.5 respectively. This assumes of course that the gym scale is accurate… Anyways this made me feel much better as those numbers are more in line with how the bar felt.

Hit my opener today. Quads were pretty tired so I think I took my stance out a little wider than I wanted on 545. It still moved alright. I did another attempt at 535 with a narrower stance but the bar was dropping on my left side on this one.

Competed in a CPF meet in Cornwall. Overall a successful day, PR’d my squat, matched a bench PR and hit a national record deadlift with a VERY close miss at 728. All together it was a PR total of 1688, I think I left a little on the platform and had I made some smarter attempts I could have (should have) broken the 1700 bearier. Next time! Still it’s hard to look down on that kind of a meet.
