Just been looking around in your YouTube channel and it seems as though you have some pretty nice training locations. Just out of curiousity, where do you train primarily? Are you in Toronto? I’m an Ottawa native and, although I’m seldom in Canada anymore, it’s always interesting for me to see where one can train for powerlifting in Ontario. It’s good to see that some formerly “mainstream” gyms are beginning to embrace strength sports a bit more.
Yes I’m in Toronto. I split my training pretty evenly between 3 locations, Quantum Crossfit, Fortis Fitness, and the Anvil garage gym. They’re all great locations with unique apeal, Toronto is pretty spoiled for choice when it comes to quality gyms. Where are you living now?
Cool. I’m in Dusseldorf in Germany. There’s a powerlifting-friendly gym here that is great, but I might be relocating in the next couple of months and could have to waste away in commercial gym hell for a while. It’s worse here than in Canada. Will be in T.O. in late April, though, and might try to get a training session in, provided my wife doesn’t veto that.
Keep up the good work and posting the inspirational videos!

Awesome, let me know when you’re in town, maybe we can grab a workout!
Was planning to bench but there were a couple shirted guys using over 600 so I decided to do some front squats instead. Worked up to a heavish single, the hardest part is keeping it balanced on my shoulders.

Great job at RUM, dude. Pretty crazy that you lifted so well two days in a row like that, but I guess your style of training makes that possible.
Thanks dude, I wasn’t planning on the second day going as well as it did. I think you’re right though, my training frequency facilitated it
First workout back after a week away in Mexico. Hard as hell, lots and lots of volume. Apparently I suck at squat reps, even the 5s were hard despite the weight being so low. On the set of 9 I felt like I wanted to die haha.
I’m trying a different approach for my bench training, I’ll see how it goes.
I was planning on going heavier but I had a shooting pain in my left glute from the first rep w/ the barbell. It didn’t seem to get worse with weight so I worked up to a cautious 315x3. I need to focus on glute/hamstring mobility for the next few workouts to hopefully fix this right up.
