Theoretically there’s more comp lifting closer to a meet as I understand but these close variations are very important still. Say pause deads are keeping you sharp on positioning and pulling slack or Spoto press is keeping on reminding you to control through the full ROM and not dump onto your chest.
I guess it makes sense when you put it like that. We shall see ! I know for sure ill be able to chip my deadlift and bench PRs. Squat I should be able to PR by at least 15-20KG
Show me the way big squat daddy
Id be happy with a 30KG PR on my total. What would really be cool is a 600KG total… lol still a ways a way from that i believe
May dabble into the wraps game a bit after this cycle is up
600 ain’t too far away for me either. Might be my first meet depending on how this year goes
You havent competed? 600KG at your first meet would be legit lol
Was gonna last year but then injured my back. Building back up ever since. Then coronavirus hit and life has picked up a lot. If it’s in the cards then I’ll do a meet. Have a guy I know who can coach/handle me.
I gotcha. Yea that sucks, hopefully this shit clears off soon so things can get back to normal. Im tired of sitting in my basement all day. Our toddler has been driving us mad lol
Lol the iso I growing on me tbh. Is pretty chill. Feels like the world has slowed down
I know for sure when this gets back to normal, im gonna be scouting out lightly used equipment at sale prices for the home gym…
once everyone gets back to the gym im hopin to find a reverse hyper, hyperextension and maybe a leg ext/leg curl machine on the cheap
Funny u mention that because one of the first gyms I went to is auctioning off a bunch of machines. Cardio machines and plate loaded. Starting at 9 bucks I dunno if there’s a reserve that needs to be met before they are sold but the prices looking pretty good right now with almost 3 days left to go in the auction. I would buy but I’d have trouble moving all the things and storing it.
Thats legit. Theres nothing to be found in stock around here. havent checked the gyms. id guess some may have to shut their doors if this lockdown continues on
U bid. I’ll pick up and ship to you for a small fee lel. The exchange rates pretty strong right now

Im determined one day to certify the COC #3. After doing a little digging and researching programming for gripper strength, I decided to pick up Radical Reps Baseline Training and am going to run through it. Heard some pretty crazy success stories. I have no doubt the 2.5 will be easy to close after this. Only thing that sucks is it sounds like its a pretty brutal program.

RRBT Phase 1, Day 3
My hands are feeling pretty weak after this spike in volume. I can feel weakness in even closing the sport.

so it looks like USPA postponed my meet to August 29… I guess more time to get stronger now. Mock meet going down May 16, then switching up some things.
@guineapig a couple more months for gains… no doubt 250KG is going down by end of summer.
Bookmarking some thoughts here for moving forward after mock meet:
-Squat has been steadily moving since i started Sheiko gold, so i have no intentions of switching up anything when it comes to accessories or supplemental lifts. No changes in form either. May come back to this if i see a glaring weakness coming from the mock meet. I also may start to entertain using wraps here and there, as it would boost me over a 500 pound squat in the near future.
-Bench has sucked a fat one for well over a year now. Im thinking i will be able to chip my PR of 120KG by at least 2.5-5KG. We shall see, but Im leaning toward implementing alot more volume for triceps and upper back after the mock meet. I dont recall having much volume related to these two muscle groups to get things moving.
-Deadlift will most certainly be switching to sumo after May after being able to chip my conventional with no practice. I believe the addition of upper back work in combination with some more posterior chain work will help get deadlift moving well again.
Time to focus on push/pull. Bench is holding my total back, and deadlift could use some help. Would be legit to total 1300+ before 2020 is over.
Haven’t seen a vid of you benching but the answer is always bigger power tits / pecs
