Motivation has been running dry recently. With snow and bad weather the rugby season has ground to a standstill. Making this log to make sure I make the most of this gap in the season. Aiming primarily for gains in athletic performance.

First day in the gym done.
Ran this morning on the tredmill - not usually my thing but weather is making running outside a bit daft.
Did 30 mins, 2 min work 1 min rest, then rowing 6 sets of 500m sprints.
Weights tonight were: clean, F squat, wtd chin, Bench. 80, 85, 22.5, 100 (kgs) Medium heavy session. finished with roll outs and side plank!
Feeling good after today. Main goals at the moment are to develop more explosive power for rugby. To gain some lean efficient muscle
Gym today, didn’t get any Cardio done so I will smashfuk out it tomorrow.
Hang clean, SLDL, Military Press, Single arm row.
77.5, 75, 25’s, 40,s. Again 5x3 for each exercise.
Wipers and plank for core.
Felt alright, will get a good light supplement session done tomorrow.
Mixed things up today as my legs were quite sore from past few days. Hit up a wee supplementary session, all upper body, followed by a pretty light jog, about 2K, just to smash bit of fat burning.
Session was 8 exercises split into 4 superset pairs. all done 3x6 except last pair, 3x8.
DB press / Rev fly - 37.5 / 7.5
Mill press / DB curl - 20 / 15
Inc fly / Tri exts - 17.5 / 17.5
SA cable row / SA cable curl - 30 / 22.5
Session was less about weight than it was ‘density’ and form. Smashed some light core at the end. Finished feeling like the worlds chunkiest man! Hopefully get back on some proper lifting tomorrow!

Back on it big time today. Push press, squat, box jumps, curls, extensions.
75 and 130 for push press and squat. Squat felt awesome and push press felt terrible which is just weird. I’ll get on them both pretty hard over then next few weeks and then hopefully they’ll both be feeling good.
Finished with a bunch of core! lots of medicine ball and swiss ball work getting done.
Gonna mix things up tomorrow, thinking maybe 300 work out or something similar.
