Rising From the Ashes (CL)

Me too.

I don’t know what this is, for example, and I’m passingly familiar with the program.

Edit: top half overload bench. Got it. Damn I feel smart.

You got it!
And I will say that it will definitely improve the to cue to push yourself away from the bar rather than pressing the bar away from you on the pressing. So there’s that.

The TH OL Deadlift is just rack pulls and the squat TH OL is just quarter squats

Power cleans from the hang
MP=military press
PP=push press
MB=medicine ball throws

The DBs are speed rounds where you just go as fast as possible and for me that still like a herd if turtles ina mound of peanut butter.

I don’t want to tell you your business, but its usual to plant them first, then eat them later.

Ha,ha. I ate the Shrimp tortellini, and crepes, THEN went out to plant the strawberries. :wink:
I put a new carburetor on my tiller yesterday but one of the screws don’t fit. Grrrrr! Still working on it.

Ok checking in here. Will be following along and chiming in from time to time with either useless comments, support or laughs. Now I am here you have to make it worth my while and hit some PR’s. :joy::stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Lol! I told y’all, nothing to see here. I am half way through this program, so it will be a while before any PRs happen around here.

I never said it has to be a gym PR. I am happy to hear about life PR’s, fun PR’s or even gardening PR’s

Definitely a gardening PR today! New carburetor finally on and it started on the third pull first time out. Whoo whoo!

Sweet, what motor are you working on. Something classic or just your daily ?
If you don’t mind me asking what side of the US are you ? Just trying to work out time difference, is 2:30 in the arvo here.

20+ year old Yard Machine. 5hp Briggs and Stratton. It’s been a good one.
I’m in Texas, so central time zone here. 9:30 pm

So I am 17 hours ahead of you, that’s going to be hard to workout. Lol

The Arvo? Because everyone asked I’m on the West Coast and am following the “nothing to see here” log

Aussie slang for Afternoon mate.

I’m watching Love Island: Australia currently and understand like 93% of what you say. I’m assuming this show isn’t an accurate sample of Australia but y’all talk about banter all the time

It’s like the worst of everything like any other reality TV. Aussies do definitely like the banter and spend a lot of time making fun out of each other. There is also a lot of slang words that are used here that you don’t here elsewhere in the world. I guess it is the same everywhere, there are localisms that aren’t international sayings.

We seem to use “banter” differently and way less frequently but yea, I want my brain to shutoff after watching more than about 6 minutes of any reality tv

Week4 Day1
OHP comp
4 damn good rounds! 60 sec rest

TH OL
1x5/75 too light
3x5/95 that’s better

MP belt
4x5/50

PP belt
4x5/60

MB OH throws
1x10/15

DB speed
4x20secs/ 15s

Holy shit! I impressed myself with this one! Wanted 5 rounds but things started getting a little sloppy so I called at 4 while I was still on top :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

On a side note. Weight is still around 127 and my belt was a little loose :wink:

If the video wasn’t so loud I would post it, but sounds like a train wreck. I don’t know how to edit out the sound.
