Call off the National Guard. Finally got his fat ass out of here. He cornered himself in a little cabinet and I was able to pick him. Whew! Maybe he’ll go home after his not as wonderful experience.

Old mama kitty is in heat so she will have to be quarantined for a few days for her to heal properly.

Please understand that all these kitties are the result of animal dumping and reproduction. I am NOT a cat hoarder. They are all free to come and go as they please but choose to stay because stupid crazy cat lady puts out food for them. I know you are not supposed to do that but, when they bring the baby kitties to the backyard I can’t help it. I want to save them all but that doesn’t mean I want more.

I have been trying to finish a crochet project and my upper body is super tight. Sad part is… I plan on starting another one when I get this one finished. Ya know, for our two days of winter.
Got 99% of supplies laid in for the “ice storm” But, broke my Dollar General glasses and need to pick up another pair or two today and new batteries for the smoke detectors.
Got chicken food, cat food, dog food, people food. propane, blah, blah, blah. I would like to find a couple of 5 gallon buckets if possible. Chicken/ duck/ turkey water may be a problem. They predicted 22° last week and it was 10° at my house. They are predicting 10° Sunday night so it may be at or below 0° here in the holler. We shall see. They don’t have a great track record of predicting these things here. Got the chicken house all comfy with fresh hay. As soon as I get home from town… Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow! We need the water! In whatever forms in falls in.
Had a decent food pantry workout Wed. Super Steve is getting his ass kicked by cedar fever so was willing to let get the produce out of the cooler.

31° and a wintry mix falling here now. Some sleet fell overnight and the back steps have a light coat of ice but that’s it for now.
I just read the forecast for next weekend and it said 50% chance for actual snow showers

The coldest I have ever been was in ND. Bought No 1 grade diesel then put additive in it and it still looked like jello in the tanks. With heater wide open the windshield and side windows still frosted over… inside the truck! Slept with long underwear, clothes, and insulated coveralls on. I never need to be that cold again. No thank you!
But, I will say that little truckstop had some wonderful hotdish.

Things are mostly clear now but there is still patches of ice in the yard. It was in the 50s yesterday and I had the break the ice on the duck pool again this morning. It’s supposed to be 69 today. There better not be any left in the morning! I am OVER IT! 
What is the minimum age we need to worry about breaking a hip if you bust your ass? Asking for a friend.

I had such high hopes this morning. My car has a coolant leak but… ONLY when it’s cold. When it warms up outside or the car gets warm it stops.
The turn volume down if you watch the video! because the car is running. I tried to post without sound but alas I cannot figure out how.
The problem is… nobody has time to work on it. I went to one shop and they talked to me like I am a fucking idiot with tits. Nothing pisses me off more.
First thing out of they’re mouth. Waterpump. Me: No, not the right place for water pump.
Them: It’s coming from the reservoir.
Me: Nope
Them: it has to be running hot
Me: if it was hot I wouldn’t be here!
Them: did you put water in it?
Me: coolant. That’s why it’s still liquid not frozen!
Them: it’s the head gasket
Me: 
they haven’t even looked at it!
Them: we need to keep it for a few days
Me: I live out in the country and this is my only car.
Them: I don’t know what to tell ya
Me: okay, see ya later.
There was much more to the idiocy but you get the jist.
Took to the tire shop yesterday so we could put it on the rack. It was warm so no leak. they found a bad heater hose and I was sooooo excited but knew I couldn’t be sure until this morning.
Nope! That wasn’t it 
I am devastated.
Now, I guess I am going to get out the ramps and find it myself! Ugh! It was 23° this morning but is supposed to be in the 80s the next few days and 40s in the morning. That should be cold enough to make it leak.
Then one of my ladies said she doesn’t want be to bring Jed with me when I come to her house. WTF? He’s been coming for a year and just sits on your porch and plays his tablet. She can be replaced.
