Rising From the Ashes (CL)

Oh no doubt the man can write. I absolutely LOVE Oliver Stone! All the Camel Club books. Amos Decker the Memory Man, Will Robie etc… most of the early series. Even Absolute Power was a great story. Mercy started out pretty good but…
He has just inserted too much in some of them.

Warm up= 45mins of hacking up a lung. No, not exaggerating. I think it’s finally run it’s course and I am on the mend… hopefully. The real question is… how can the human body make soooo much snot? Really, this has been ridiculous! Jed has been fine so I assuming it’s just a sinus infection.
Can’t imagine why.

Either way…
Band cicuit x3
Some push ups
3rd world squats

Legs siezed up for days after my happy little squat session the other day so I need to figure out what’s going on there.

Sorry to hear about the sinus infection! Not surprising given the 70 degree temperature spread. :exploding_head:

I’m so glad you’re starting to feel better!! On the plus side, coughing up a lung is a great ab workout!!! lol

Whew! It’s been a wild ride weather wise.
Freezing cold, then 90, then 15, wind and dust, and not one drop of rain. Very stressful weekend.
From my front porch Sat.
About 10-15 miles from us.

It didn’t get close but these are photos posted by people fighting the fire.

Almost 10,000 acres 85% contained

Now, the wind has shifted right towards us, and all you can smell outside is smoke and burnt pasture.

This probably gives me more anxiety than it should but… I am nervous :scream:

Red flag/ extreme fire warnings for the rest of the week.

Dang, that would make me nervous too! Hopefully it turns directions or they get it contained completely before it gets to you.

Oh no!

They have stopped foward progression and are just hitting hot spots at this point. But, the wind is gusting up to 35mph.

Wind and fire are definitely a scary combination. Good to hear they have stopped it from moving forward!

Very sorry to hear about the fires near you! A week or two ago there were some in our area too, until we got some much needed rain. I saw one on the side of the highway that probably started from someone throwing a cigarette out the window… Anyway, you and your family will be in my prayers. Hopefully they are able to get it contained!

Thank you. So far we are good, just praying for all the people who were affected and the firefighters fighting it. (We have mostly volunteer firefighters)
They did bring in air support but they had long delays between drops.
