I worry if my mom or sister don’t answer the phone if I’ve called for an hour-plus. Telling myself not to worry doesn’t always stop me from worrying, either :man_shrugging:t3:

I’m glad your house, mom, and everything in your life are ok!

Thanks TnT! I’m glad I’m no the only one.

Yes sir, we were very lucky/blessed it had been drizzling all day and the fire didn’t spread.

Sorry to hear about all the stress and craziness. I guess the only good thing to come out of it is with all the increase in heart rate over being stressed out you could probably count the last couple of days as cardio sessions.

Pretty good after the tornado warning Thursday evening. We DID NOT have a tornado here but it’s not because it didn’t try. We had some small quarter sized hail and enough wind the move Jed’s trampoline across the yard. Luckly the mesquite tree caught it.

After it got done here it dropped some grapefruit and cantaloupe sized hail about 15 mins south.

Such a peaceful time of year.
The humidity did get down to 50% yesterday which was nice, oh wait! It came back today. One of the local weather ladies said, " it’s air you can wear!"

All in all things are improving!

Thanks for asking! How are things up north?

Crazy! I’ll stick with my 9 month snowy winters.

I have always wondered WHY my ancestors stayed here. I asked my mom why couldn’t they have went on to somewhere cooler, more hospitable. She said, “I guess they liked it rough.”

I also live 15 minutes north of a place called Johnson City. That’s awesome!

Holy Hail!! Those are some serious ice cubes! I’m so glad to hear that the worst of it missed you!

That is hilarious and it reminds me of why I only lasted exactly 1.75 years in TX. Lol.

Things are good up here. We had a warm weekend - 75 degrees, so almost hot for May. Perfect biking temps but breezy (like, there may or may not have been a few tears at mile 26 yesterday…)
Early last week there were tornados in the area too, we dodged the worst of it and just got some very appreciated rain. It’ll be great for the crops and the garden.

Happy Mother’s Day today. I hope you’re having a great day and that you get to relax a bit too!!

Glad to hear you missed the heavy weather too!

I am trying to plant okra today, not very successfully I might add. The humidity is brutal. Ugh! I think I have been bitten by every bug in Texas! BUT! I am planting a vegatable

Monday’s workout was pushing a Husqvarna riding mower back to the barn with a 90yo at the helm.

Yesterday was loading a trailer full of furniture. I am proud to say that yes, yes I can still come out of the hole of an 3rd world squat (full on ass to the grass) with my end of a couch
So at least I have that going for me.:grimacing:
