Rising From the Ashes (CL)

I think there should be a law that if anyone chooses to be buried instead of cremated, then the undertakers should have to tie their shoelaces together.

Started out tired but finally going. Yep, the 7s felt too light but I am trying not to dig myself in a hole. Sleep is not great, and it’s too hot to eat enough.

I did DO something!

You seem to be saying this a lot, which is excellent

I’m a big baby who would be doing ZERO unless I’m in an air conditioned environment. So from my perspective you’re doing a LOT lol.

What a great line, I can’t stop chuckling. If you made that up yourself I’m gonna be putting you up on a pedestal lol.

Wu= watering and cleaning out the car.
Workout= trying the change the front blinker bulb on the car. Watched three videos. Unscrewed said headlight assembly. An hour later, missing some hide, several bruises, and a whole bunch of bad words later… NOPE! Still no blinker. :face_with_symbols_over_mouth::face_with_symbols_over_mouth:
I just don’t get it! Why make the bulbs, something they KNOW will have to he replaced, so hard to access? Makes NO sense to me.

The engineers should have to work on the cars they design. We had a car that I had to pull off the front wheel, wheel well liner and the front bumper cover, just to replace a head light bulb. Good for you on doing it yourself.

German engineering?

It was a 2006 Cadillac STS. Fantastic car otherwise.

Exactly!!! They would definitely change a few things if they did.

I hear ya. My renault you had to remove the entire front bumper and remove the headlight assembly to change the bulb. I still did it myself because I was too stuborn to give up.
My Aussie built Ford you just twist off the cover on the back and pull it out. Now that is good design.

Talking about bad choice, my Kubota tractor is a prime example. I am in a cold winter type place and jumping batteries is a regular thing.

To do so, I got to pop the hood, the 2 side hoods, the front grill, get the air filter out just to reach the battery. That thing now lives plugged in from December to March, cause I hate freezing my hands.

couldn’t you connect cables to the battery routed to an Anderson plug and leave them on the battery with the plug somewhere easy to access. Then just plug straight into the anderson plug with your jump cables when you need to ?

Every time I have to work on it somebody always has to say, “you just need to get a new car!”
Uhmmm… okay, please tell me HOW exactly am I supposed to pay for this new car?
They never have the answer for that part.

Good Lord! Why would they do that?

Mine? Nope! It’s a Buick. The videos say to unscrew the TWO bolts that hold the headlight assembly. Pull the assembly out, and reach down through the hole and twist the thing that holds the bulb. Well… I took the screws out and there is still something holding the assembly on the back end. I even tried to pry it out with a pretty damn good sized screwdriver. Won’t budge. Tried the get to it from the bottom. It’s all closed up with plastic, which probably won’t be on there after tomorrow. It’s ridiculous! Especially when it’s hot AF!

unfortunately is is so tight, that what ever we do there is a part that can’t be put back in place. That is what happen when you create a super strong but small machine.
Working on that tractor is a pain.

Oh dear that makes me sad. :frowning:

I have a speed sensor to change, A 5$ part, to access said part, I have to split (detach the front motor from the back cab), the tractor. Need less to say that I am not doing that myself.
Next time, if I ever need a new tractor, I will spend a bit more and get a JD
