My mom has always mowed her own grass. I have been doing the weedeating for a few years now but she loves riding her little mower. It’s just too hot for her to get out there and do it herself right now. I have been on her ass for weeks to just let me mow it… NO! She finally agreed last night. Big brush fire east of town. Nowhere near us but it served as motivation for her.
I have been using my peeps Gravely zero turn mower at there place. Mom’s little putt-putt mower seems wholly inadequate now

This is the river that supplies the town’s water. 8 miles upstream. It is no longer spilling over the dam by the time it gets to town.
No end in sight.
Three grass fires on the state Hwy going to my house yesterday. (They think a safety chain was dragging and throwing sparks.)
So, I guess this isn’t going to pass anytime soon. I guess I’m just going to have to suck it buttercup and get back to lifting.
