Meh… I don’t like the spokes. Had to hurry and get it done. I have decided that this will be the last year I will help him. It always ends up being a rushed. I want to make cutesy things. Maybe I do my own thing next year.

Yeah!

You’re tough!

No, I see what you mean. Thats a really hard series of shapes/proportions to replicate, but I think you’ve done really good with it.

I have an interesting one coming up- a hydraulic ram from the lifting arm of a grapple. I’ll take pics monday.

Going to try to tig weld it using ER-80. Should be interesting. At the very least it will be a learning experience.

I have no doubt you will nail it!

Thank you!

Mind if I borrow that confidence for a little while?

I always get a little rattled with new/different. It will become a back up part, as it was replaced immediately in order to finish a job.

Take all you need. You got this!

Of course it’s 38°F and rainy.

You change lot names a bit. Please keep putting the (CL) at end of future names.

I just saw the Rotary emblem you made and it looks authentic, even the spokes on the outside of the Rotary wheel. The additional, perimeter circle for strengthening reduces the effect of the spokes. Great job.

Thanks biker!

When I put the lights on it you won’t see the outside circle, only the cogs when it is lit up, or last least I hope. I just didn’t want “them” to bend or break the cogs off.

I thought the same thing about all of my best work. Hindsight is not Always 20/20.

Its the people that don’t who often should though!

Heres a thing-

We did these around 2008, and I randomly ran into them last year. Whole set for the entire church, probably 200 total.

I can see every single flaw all the way down to fit up stuff that amounts to a few mil., because I was there and I wanted them to be perfect.

Nobody else will ever see that!

Sometimes good enough is good enough. :+1:
