Rising From the Ashes (CL)

You’re welcome, and I can relate! The biannual sinus infection I got this spring knocked me out for nearly a month. Doing what I WANT and FEEL LIKE doing has been far more motivating than trying to convince myself to do what I “should.”

@ChickenLittle I SO am too!! I listen while I work during the day, when I’m cleaning, making dinner - there really isn’t a bad time to “read”!

Is that diamond painting? I have wanting to do that!! Super cool picture.

Exactly!

Yes it is. This my biggest one to date. 16x24 inches (40x60cm) with 40 different colors. Whew!
The first one we got one was for my mom while she was recovering from covid. Had NO idea how to do them. The first one was a VERY difficult pic of hummingbirds. I watched her and decided I needed to try it too. Two lighted Magnifying glasses, light pads, and storage cases later I think we are addicted… lol We highly recommend it for some mind numbing fun.

I have been trying to remain stoic here but…
Went to mean dog lady’s house Tuesday, she is sniffling. I ask her if she was sick. She says, No, just a sinus infection, going to the doc later to get some meds. I stay there about 4 hours and then she calls her husband and says she tested positive for covid.:rage::face_with_symbols_over_mouth:
I have been directly exposed. Now, my other peeps are afraid of me. Hell, I’m afraid of me. The last thing I want to do is bring it home again to mom. We all know how nerve racking that was last time. I was terrified she was going to die.

Anyway, no symptoms and I am on a call Thursday. Mom starts blowing up my phone so I think there is something wrong. Maybe a rattlesnake in the yard with the dog or something. I run, yes, you read that right. I actually ran to mom’s house just to have her tell me the pump was acting up and we didn’t have water.
Come home was looking for the air pressure gauge and the clothes iron falls off the top shelf and whacks me on the head. Yeah, there is definitely blood. Just great!

Worked outside for like 7 hours yesterday 104 degrees because nobody will let me IN the house, ya know, because of the covy.
Took a while to get comfy to sleep last night because there is a big gash in my head from the iron. Woke up at 4:30 this morning because something, I have no idea what, was crawling on my face. Probably a scorpion but honestly I shot out of the bed so fast and slung it off I couldn’t find anything.

Maybe, just maybe, I will sleep tonight and lift in the morning before it gets too hot.

Sorry to hear about your exposure and problems. Hope all works out okay. I’ve doing my lifting outside at 600am here and still covered in sweat. My workout partners might have a drop or 2 on their forehead. “Good thing it’s so cool in the morning, Uncle!” Take care of yourself.

Not telling you she has covid is terrible on multiple levels - hope you’re okay.

Yeah, this is the second time I have had a close call with these people. They think their shit don’t stink. Worst part is, he has a lung transplant.

It’s been 5 days and no symptoms so I think I am in the clear, or I at least I hope. Will get tested tomorrow.

hi CL

Hey OG! I see you have still been crushing it.

Damn. Sounds like a hell of a day. Hopefully even though you were exposed you don’t end up catching it. It’s such a PITA waiting for the incubation time and testing negative so you can be a normal part of society again.

That’s it. Like sitting on a time bomb. I hoping I have some sort immunity from having it in the fall.

Wow. Good luck with the test. If you’ve been vaxxed, symptoms should be mild.
