Anderson squat (16) this puts just a tad above parallel
1x5/bar
1x5/115
1x5/135
1x5/155
1x3/175 lifted off the rack and come down light enought to just “kiss” the pins. Very happy with how these felt
Squat sets the pins at (18) just a tad below parallel. Again came down just enough to kiss the pins and rebound back up.
5x8/115
BP
2x5-10/bar
1x5/65
1x5/75
5x4/85 damn right this is uncharted territory. Last rep was a grinder was still very happy with how these went.
Wu= some pvc pipe stretches. Left trap is pissed this morning.
Trap bar
1x5/140
1x5/160
1x5/180
5x8/190 goal. Will bump the weight next round. Haven’t decided if I want to deload or just go into another round🤔
I don’t want to hear one word about my about me being fat. I am well aware.
That’s all folks. Got bigger fish to fry today. Going help a peep fabricate a deer blind. This dude is an honest to goodness rocket scientist so this should be educational!
Thanks! I started this out light (maybe too light). But, Yes 8 reps then bump the weight. My plan is to just plug along with squats, trap bar, and DL. My goal is to bench 100lbs by Jan 1. Closest I have gotten is 95.
You legs (quads an hamstrings) look thicker and more defined. Perhaps you’re a tiny bit chonkier in your middle (waistbands are a reasonable indicator) but so what? Winter’s coming, and a bit of insulation helps us move weight and stay warm.
Uh huh.
It has taken me what seems to be forever to get to this point, I’m not sure how I feel about this. The scale is holding steady between 128-132, but I am seriously going to have to buy bigger clothes for the first time in over a decade. I may have do some cardio or something
Since the scale’s staying the same, I wonder if your lower back and obliques have gained muscle and thickened up a bit.
I just bought some new clothes - haven’t done that in many years. Good luck when shopping! Here in the city, “comfortable” rules the fashions, and virtually every pair and style of pants have elastic or Spandex in the waistbands and thighs. They’re great for sitting around in a climate-controlled building but less than great for sitting near a campfire.
Shopping used to be fun, but not so much anymore. It’s mostly just frustrating now.
Strictly casual. I have very few occasions where I need to dress up. I have a severe dislike for polyester. I don’t know how that shit got resurrected from the dead but I wish we would bury it again. I bought some new t shirts at the beginning of summer and in my mom’s words, “those shirts are awful. Looks like you are wearing a toesack! No, a toesack would look better!”
I like cargo pants/shorts. I think the cool word for these are tactical pants now. Whatever they call them I like pockets. They have to have the side pockets… lol
I have never been "curvy " and as a rule mens clothes always fit me better than womens.
I would rather slam my hand in the car door than to clothes shopping these days.
I hear you! I don’t know what the difference is, but I dislike nearly all shopping nowadays, and especially for clothing.
What do you hate about polyester? Although wool is superior, I don’t mind it as a blend or in winter clothing. Polyester is awful in t-shirts.
Sadly, I have also very few fancy-clothes occasions. In cooler months, my preferred attire is jeans, a flannel shirt, and boots, but it’s nice to dress up occasionally.
Agreed. Side pockets are simply functional. Judging by ads, if the legs are tight and the colors are gray, black, coyote tan, or camouflage, they’re “tactical pants”; judging by my wardrobe, if the legs are baggier and the colors wouldn’t stand out in public, they’re “cargo pants”
Stay away from men’s skinny jeans then! With your muscular, curvy thighs, you won’t fit into 'em
