Rising From the Ashes (CL)

Episode sounds terrible but glad you are on the mend and really glad you stuck around. Friends are hard to come by at my age and I can’t afford to lose any, even internet ones :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Thanks Simo! I was having a moment. Mostly boils down to bad timing, everything kinda piled on at once. Now on to bigger and better things.

P.S. Log title change coming up!

Got home late last night. When we walked by my gym the raccoon who I have been referring to as Ricky, because obviously it goes with raccoon, was in there pumping iron! He just can’t stay out of the gym. So, I have renamed said raccoon. Henceforth he shall be called Arnold.

Arnold must have needed lots of protein and hydration from those grueling workouts because he slurpped up the last remaining water in the lily pad pond and ate all the gambusia (mosquito fish).

I opted to clean out the pond in lieu of deadlifts this morning before it gets too hot. There was plenty lifting involved in getting those clumps of lily pads out annnddd… now I smell amazing.

I need to make a wire cover to keep Arnold and the deer out of it. I don’t mind sharing but the wildlife is getting greedy.

Now, off to repot some of the lilies.

Mom and I got Jed another trampoline yesterday. This makes number 7 maybe 8, I can’t remember.
Only local place that had one was Tractor supply. Do not recommend. Took me 2 hours to put the damn thing together. Son of a bitch fought me every step of the way. Some of the tubing was bent just enough the pieces wouldn’t slide together. I had to get out the vice grips and starighten it out before the pieces would slip into each other. It MAY last until Christmas until I can get him a better one.

Not a dry stitch on me. Total bullshit. The last one went up in under an hour.

Interspersing some pushups on rest/recovery days too to help on the BP build?

Glad to see continual updates and logging here too btw.

Thanks! I have been trying to talk myself into including some push ups. I will program some in and see how it goes.

Sound like a bad time (and triggered by eating some damn vegetables, do not envy you).

But glad you decided to stick around, this place would be poorer without you.

You are kinda unlucky rigth now, aren’t you?

Thanks Doomy! The scorpions are just part of living here, and use to not bother me at all. A few years ago I hit a yellow jacket nest with a weed eater. I got stung 17 times. Now that was unlucky! It was only after that I started to have any reaction to the scorpion stings. Luckily it seems to be getting better. I have got hit 4 times this year and none of them have been “bad” just inconvenient. I consider that a win!

Few things will get you moving faster than hitting a yellow jacket nest with a weed eater.

Good job taking your medicine.

Absolutely! It was complicated by the excessively steep bank down to the river. Needless to say clothes were coming off once they started up my shirt. The whole thing could have been on worlds funniest videos :rofl::rofl:

Working on that discipline thing. Everything is getting easier except the internal rotation stretch for the right shoulder, it may take a while.
