Just not in the zone today. This staying at home has put a damper on my all you can eat fest all day long, so I am blaming that and the anxiety that goes along with it. Going pop some advil and a claritin, eat some lunch, stretch my hip and see how I see in a little bit.

Thanks Whang. I am an introvert so staying at home is no problem for me. I have a creative mind and am very seldom bored. I have lots of hobbies.
I do however have a problem with the way the locals are handling the quarantine. The judge keeps posting there are only three cases in the county. That’s because they haven’t tested anybody else, sorry. He keeps saying there are many presumptive cases. I think this is giving people a false sense of security. I truly hope that three is all we ever get here but, the numbers are climbing in every county around us so… I find it hard to believe.

Story time!
Yesterday after a rocky start lifting I managed to get going about my day.
I worked on tiller because, ya know, the new carburetor picked up a microscope particle and doesn’t want to run now, go figure. I got a couple of rows done before it quit again. After that I just had to do it the old fashioned way. I found my little hoe but cannot find my long handled one, hmmmm. I’ll keep looking.
Of course the handle in the little hoe is broken so I went and dug out a new hammer handle I have bought several years ago. It was far from a perfect fit but with some shims I got functional.
I hoed an entire by hand and planted my carrots, then some more tomatoes seeds in another bed, some salad greens, and now I need to go figure out where I am going to plant my cucumbers, more squash, more okra, cream peas, corn, cantaloupe, watermelon blah blah blah.
In the midst of this my neighbor calls and says his nephew is going to drop off some vegatables. Cool! They had a bunch of tomatillos, a few carrots, and turnips 
. I said Thank you and popped off that I would take things to eat with four legs if they had any they didn’t want too.
I am at mom’s house eating dinner and we here a gunshot. Sounded like a cannnon but we didn’t think much anout because this particular neighbor shoots frequently, annoyingly at times, a few minutes later the phone rings. He shot a BIG old sow in his yard. Well, over two hundred pounds. In the dark now, he brings it to us with his four wheeler and trailer. Wow! It’s a big’un. I can’t drive down to the shed where my dad have a pulley system set up to skin things because the road is still washed out. We have to do this the old fashioned way too, with a rope over an old swing set frame. Mom is not very strong anymore but with me lifting it and her tying off the rope, we got it hung. After I finally got it skinned, sawed into thirds, and put in the fridge it after midnight. We sit down and mom says… I’m glad you been lifting all that heavy stuff! I told me too! Nothing like wrestling a four foot long, two hundred pound, sloppy sandbag…lol. Definitely a max effort workout.
Very thankful for all that free, organic meat though!

Not too long ago (I don’t know the exact timescale), there where only 2 confirmed cases in the whole of the UK. Over 5k dead so far. This stuff can get out of hand pretty quickly if people are stupid.

Exactly! And that’s what I am afraid of. The doctor they have in charge is an idiot. Rumor has it they didn’t even test the 20 party goers they pretty much know were exposed.
This is a tight knit community and when something as simple as a stomach bug hits town, everybody in town gets it. I can’t understand the reasoning here.
I have had to tell myself that there is no need to worry about things I cannot control. I just need to take every precaution to take of my family.

Definitely more out there. Can’t say just three cases as there are those that are asymptomatic walking around, so yeah hopefully the social distancing does its thing

This is pretty much my attitude to the whole thing. There’s a lot of idiots out there and no-one is going to change that, so I just try and focus on the stuff that’s important for the people I care about and try not to get too bogged down trying to change other peoples behaviour.

That’s the way it’s going here. As they get the ability to test more people, the numbers are going up. It has the appearance of things escalating but I think they’re just revealing what’s been here the whole time.
Our Chief keeps sending us updates and uses NYPD as a measuring stick for how we’re doing. One thing he came across is that our rate of testing is 1.52 per 1000 people. We have third highest number of confirmed cases by county in the state. The counties ahead of us are testing 3.06 and 5.11 per 1000 people. It doesn’t make much sense that we’re not testing half as many people.
What did that piggy do wrong?
Tore up his yard. We have a feral hog problem here in Texas. Just killing two birds with one stone. Save his yard, and meat in my freezer. Win/win situation.
At least your people admit to the numbers being tested. The Judge here can’t even give any numbers. You posted a whole blah, blah on FB the other about they was no way for them to know how many people have been tested. Uh, aren’t we supposed to be keeping track of that?
It’s a shit show because a bunch of uppity ups in town had a private party that exposed 20 people and now it’s a small town cover up. This town is real good about stuff like thatvwhen it comes to the campaign contributions.
