I’m not sure how I feel about mine. I don’t want them to grow up as boring as my parents but I don’t think I could stomach them being as dumb as me.
Unrelated: I’ve been considering a daily dose version of presses. Does that sound like something that could make sense? @Frank_C @ActivitiesGuy or anyone else who’s done daily dosing? Probably single kettlebell presses, with the hope of building some pressing strength, shoulder size and sneaking a bit of core work in too.
The volume would have to change. The shoulders can take a beating (muscles, not joints) whereas deadlifts tax the whole system.
5 x 5 5 days a week? Plus a regularly scheduled shoulder day, with rest the next day? Does that make sense?
It makes sense in that I understand it. I’ve never seen anyone do it so you’ll have to run your own experiment.
I actually did something kinda like this before I was really fully back into DLing and barbell lifting. It’s probably in my old log (before I started my current one). I was suuuper minimalist training at that time - I did a few months where almost every day I just did 15 clean and presses (EMOM) per hand with a heavy (88 pound) KB.
Sold. I’ll give it a 3 week trial.

Ugh! Still trying to figure outbthe shoulder thing. Videoed my back like it showed in the athleanx shoulder fixer video. No winging. I had winging when I first started here but have really done good on correcting it over the years.
Could be my crooked spine or I am leaning more towards a simple muscle imbalance.

Because I have been pulling mixed grip for a long time and I want to pull DOH more. I think pulling mixed grip may be adding to my crookedness on my bench.

A friend of mine is exactly like that. They’re fine if eating a piece of cake that had an egg in the batter, but eating plain eggs wrecks 'em. No idea why or how that biologically happens, but it apparently does.
