And the knowledge to fix it. My ass would’ve called a tow truck.
Yes sir! This one was easily accessible so not too bad of a job.
Had the old one off before my buddy got here with the parts.I gotta say, you are such a bad ass.
My manlihood is put to shame. I can change a flat tire though and manage an overheat, so I got that going for me, which is nice
It took a lot of patience from several mechanically inclined people over the years to be able to do this. Lol!
haha I wouldn’t even know what was wrong, I’d just call a tow truck and pay my mechanic a ridiculous amount of money.

Hey CL how do you feel about your program given by santa?
EDIT: good job following the program
I like it! When I first saw it I didn’t think I would. It is so far away from how I usually lift.
It has definitely shown me some weakness and helped me learn some cues.
I have a lot of irons in the fire right now in real life, and the weather has been crazy, so I cut it back to one complex a day. When things settle down a bit I would like to run it again with two complexes a day when the weather gets better. Maybe by then I will have learned how to power clean properly.
I definitely recommend it if you are looking for a change from the norm.

This should have been on Wed but it is going to be 80 degrees today and they are predicting snow tomorrow. People here lose their minds when the weather person says “snow”
Wasn’t taking a chance on missing the workout.
Snow in central Texas?!
It snowed in Seattle today, so instead of rain hitting my hat it was just wet snow hitting me in the side of the face… Hope your snow works better than mine!
That’s what they’re saying, I’ll believe it when I see it. We go through this drill every winter, no snow man yet…lol
I grew up in Vegas, I probably heard there would be snow 30 times and it happened like twice. It was supposed to rain like 8x more than it actually did, too. I blame big meteorology!
Exactly!
Rant coming up…UGH!
About three months ago an older couple I help out got a new dog. It’s a pretty dog but they got it from a shelter and it is really weird. She is supposed to be half lab/half boxer. The dog doesn’t like me. Which is just plain stupid because all of my other fur freinds (well everybody but Possum the cat, she don’t like anybody) love me. They run to the door and go nuts, happy to see me when I show up. Anyway to the rant.
This dog has already bit me once. I told the couple that I would understand if they need to find somebody else. Their response was, “Oh no, we love you and don’t want anybody else.” I ran into a guy that does some odd jobs for them as well and he asked me how I like the new dog. I told him I don’t like her because she bit me, turns out she has bitten him too. Both bites were sneak attacks. She will wait till you turn your back and get busy doing something and sneak up on you and bite with no warning.
I feel the dog cannot be trusted and feel that they should keep her in the crate while I am there but, they won’t. They put her in the crate for a few minutes when I first arrive and then they let her out. I spend all day watching my back now because she keeps trying to sneak up on me again. She will corner me in the kitchen or living room by standing between me, and the way out out of the room. She even tries to get closer now, but I don’t trust her. I don’t know if she want to make friends or rip my throat out. It makes for a long damn day for me. I have to move around slowly and peek around the door jams to see if the coast is clear. By the time I leave I am a nervous wreck.
Am I being unreasonable by wanting them to keep her crated while I am in the house? I know they love her but I feel it is irresponsible on their part. I caught her sneaking up on me three times today. As soon as I turn around she backs up, but isn’t in a friendly, tail wagging, goofy way but more like OhOh I got caught. I hate to be an ass about this but I can’t take much more of this.
Not unreasonable. Cage it or they can find someone else.
You are not being an ass. Make sure you tell the couple that the dog has bitten someone else.
Having to look over your shoulder, watching your back etc. equates to untenable working conditions. Either they crate the dog or you have to stop working there. You’ve been way too patient already imo.
This isn’t you being an ass. That’s irresponsible owners for you. The dog is also feeding off of your apprehension and fear, this will only continue to get worse. This can turn bad quickly, and it’s not the dog’s fault, or yours.
With the dog being a rescue I struggle to write this, but it goes to answer your question of being reasonable with your request, so here goes: with the exception of a dog defending their owner unwarranted repeated acts of aggression in dogs here usually leads to having them put down as they are a danger, not necessarily to adults, but the worry is always that they’ll severely harm a child.
In contrast, keeping it in a crate seems rather benign a request.
Dog owners are usually the worst judges of their own dogs’ behaviour. You will be doing them (and yourself) a favor if you help make things clear to them. The dog is going to attack someone else at some point, God help them if it is a little kid.
