Okay so besides the stress from school I think I found another reason for me feeling sick and weak all the time:
I got blood tested a weak ago and it came back that my vitamin D is really low, like abnormal apparently.
It causes: muscle weakness, particularly if there is an unexplained change in muscle strength. changes in mood, with people who have low vitamin D experiencing anxiety or depression.
Nope, I didnt know it was needed. I thought you could get it from veggies and the sun etc. I’ve done some reading and it seems you need vitamin d supplementation
if you buy they they are usually 1000iu and recommend 1 tablet a day. Most people seem to take up to 5000iu a day (5 tablets). Read up on it or ask a question on here and then decide for yourself.
If you wanna try and increase Vit D, you’d be well served to also try and eat/drink lots of dairy and oily fish. Milk, cheese, sardines, tuna, salmon etc. are all good sources of vitamin D. Unfortunately, (someone please correct me if I’m mistaken), vitamin D isn’t very concentrated in fruits and vegetables
I get the presmoked salmon fillets and have them pretty regularly. If you’re worried about mercurcy then sardines (if you can stomach them) are a good option
Fair warning, don’t buy the cheapest ones on the shelf. Sardines can be nasty if they’re low quality. I especially recommend the ones canned with olive oil and (if possible) chilli. Have them with some mayo-type sauce with rice and they’re pretty good
todays training
Why the hell my coach thinks its a good idea to max out 4 days in a row, a week before comp i have no clue. Monday and Tuesday I maxed out, today (Thursday) and then I’m supposed to tomorrow. My coach is a great coach but sometimes I think he programs for himself and forgets I’m not like him lol. He has super fast recovery abilities and can handle alot more than i could handle
The comp medley 80,90,100 was programmed for axle clean and press and I failed 80kg because I’m fatigued from Monday and Tuesday. Tomorrow I have competition weight yoke for 15 meters and sandbag to shoulder comp weight which I will not be doing because that’s just silly. This whole week is silly. Hopefully next week I recover before comp… So yeah horrible horrible training session
That is the definition of a bad coach. A good coach adjust bis principles according to his trainees abilities. That’s why you have a coach in the first place. Otherwise you could just follow a pre written program.
Hmm. Yeah I’m stopping coaching after this competition anyway, I’m training 3 days a week after and I went over what worked and what hasn’t and made a 3 day a week program.
