Just for thoughts: are you training to much? If your body is recovering really hard, then it could be hard to sleep.
How about the life situation? have you been accepted to the navy? If you’re waiting for an answer this anxiety could make it hard to sleep.
BUT whatever it is, it could be a good thing to see the doc. I hope you can fall asleep again
Just popping by to tell ya that if we go by the neurotyping system that would be due to too much stress, as 1As react to stress by losing sleep.
Even if someone doesn’t believe in that it could still be too much stress, how’s life been going? You just finished a big block of training, didn’t you
Interesting. Yes when I am stressed I do lose sleep, always been that way
Is it possible to be really stressed without realising it? E.g right now school, year 12, Interviews and trying to get into the navy etc+ like a week ago events for my next comp were released and if I think about it I’ve been stressing over that a lot. However I have been alot more stressed than I am right now in the past and had better sleep than this so I do not know. I better just see a doctor lol. In regards to training, I’m recovering quite well and feeling good
Oh at what point of the day are you training sessions?
I’ve found that lifting during evenings, that would be after 7 or 8 in the evening I’m having a hard time to fall asleep. It’s as if the body is working overtime to recover.
But some stress factors, job interview upcoming strongman event, you training hard and getting stronger fast all those things can contribute.
Now that I think of it my strength has exploded lately + So has some growth in muscle mass which would be very stressful. It sounds weird but sometimes whenever I get really sick I come back stronger and bigger. So maybe I am not sleeping as some sort of compensation effect or something and I will start sleeping and get massive gains lol. Anyway now that I’ve discussed it a bit I am very stressed without realising it
When you’re used to the feeling of being stressed, sure. I work 90-100 hours per week (well, work and study) but I never think I’m stressed. That does not mean that I wasn’t.
Sounds like you got quite a bit going on. Remember that the human body is a weird fucking thing, so even if you feel like you’ve been more stressed before and it had no effect on your sleep doesn’t mean it necessary was that way. And if it was it could be different this time for no apparent reason.
That is what I’ve seen with people who have worked so hard and done so much that they eventually burned out and had to take a long break from work.
The body can handle stress very well, but if you don’t give it some time to recover and stay at an elevated stress situation one is in risc of burning out.
If you have a good friend you should hang out with them a couple of day, doing stupid youth stuff, give your mind and body a free space.
I think il chill out on training for a week or so- il still stick to the plan but I wont obsess over eating or recovering and just relax a bit and not take it so seriously. Also, I have been avoiding hanging out with my mates lately so I should hang out with them like you suggested.
I’m absolutely certain that would be a very good thing to do.
You’re still young Duke, you’ve been training hard and done a good job here.
Keep the training in, but hang out with your mates, go have some great laughs, stay up late with them watch movies, play some E-sports, whatever young peeps do these days LOL I’m old.
Thanks mate! Just keep working and youl hit it in no time my friend. As for my comp. 70% Chance I wont go because of the added stress I dont need right now, but just plugging along and il see what happens!
Also slept good last night. Realising how stressed I was released some tension lol. Thanks guys! Going for a swim now, just going to have a massive relaxing swim.
