Doing some cooking of @simo74’s famous Garbage can chilli :joy: Lots of veggies and i doubled up the recipe. No beans tho

Since im at home i can cook and have been watching some game of thrones.

After foods cooked going to climb the silo then do some sprints. Happy weekend everyone!

Best way is to cook up a shit load of food like this. I do the same, 2kg of mince from Aldi is cheap as, plus beans, onion, can of tomato and some sort of chilli mix and ya have food for days.
Tip: add some sweet potato, it’s bloody good stuff :wink:

Cooking a meal like this is great. Saves alot of time. And Why didnt i think of that? Il be putting it in next time i make it for sure. Sweet potato tastes good in everything!

Dawg you sound like Mark Rippetoe hating on beans in “Texas chili.” In one video, one of his starting strength pals was making Texas chili. When the chili came out, Rip’s fat ass was the first one in line for a bowl. I guess being a greedy bastard was what got him strong lol. I’m enjoying your log man. Keep up the lifts!

Heres todays attempt but heavier and some returned strength after a gym hiatus. Plus used chalk which helps. Didnt mean to flail around my legs so much which put me off a bit ( like how in a pullup you dont go doing that shit) my leg also got caught which was annoying but still pleased that i got further than last time.

I have confidence that the next time i attempt it will get to the top. Pullups/pullup bar hangs have been my friend. I also think instead of using an arm twice in a row to use one then the opposite to fatigue less.

When trying the ladder climbs, tuck your ankles together and try bringing your knees up like a crunch, engaging more core.
Itll keep your body tight, rythem will improve, imagine it like your freestyle swimming. One arm per ladder rung🙏

Todays training Sprinting

Warmup with stretching, forward and reverse lunging then some standing Vertical jumps and run up jumps.

10 sets of sprints. 70metres @70% intensity with 2 minutes rest between sets.

Then a circuit of
20 Band pull aparts
10 Glute bridges
10 reverse lunges each leg
10 ab wheel rollouts

Repeated 5 times.

Yeah a little body weight stuff, but its just suspended rails from the ceiling of my gyms roof, only about 10m up

Yeah it definitely is. First time i tried the silo climb the next day my lats and forearms were toast!

Iv been to kellerberrin for cross country against a few other schools two years ago. Its a shithole lol. Iv lived in a couple of crappy towns similar to it.

Also that solo climb looks rough hah. Flailing around more than last time but also got higher, so → progress!

It was great! By set 6 or so it was really hard to keep up the intensity haha.

It’s pretty difficult! Next time just need to keep my body tight like @painter27 said and i think i should make it to the top. Flailing around definitely impacts it a bit but i still got higher so yeah winning! A few more weeks of increasing my pullups and grip and I’ll be good to go.
