RIP Charlie Kirk

He did a lot of work for almost 3-decades and you will never ever attend a party or event or ride in someone’s car and hear his stuff or even see a shirt in a store.

That’s called Legendary!!!

There was actually a lot of good rock coming out in early 2000s.

Like let the bodies hit floor and all that stuff.

That was when I was early-mid 20s going out to see cover bands. It was good times too.

All seemed to crash and burn after 2005ish.

Yes. And i feel culturally the 90s ended 9/11/2001.

Bullshit. Same as the muscle car era most were choked up from the factory, but the fun is opening them up. The 90s had some spectacular performance cars, it’s just that most came from Japan and the “my little boomer mobiles” were neutered.

There is no more masculine sound than that of an opened exhausted (Flowmaster mufflers, etc) on a big block V8, with a big cam. The sound spectrum from idle rolling to WOT. I love the big lope.

I’m not disagreeing that big v8s are fun. It’s just that 4 bangers and turbos are fun too. I absolutely hate these new cars and trucks that pipe in fake v8 sounds through the speakers. Ridiculous.

I’m going to the NHRA nationals tomorrow. Talk about loving a sound. When they fire up in the pits and switch to nitro, so nice.

At first I thought this discussion was a thread derail. Now i think it helped me understand people’s connection to Charlie Kirk better.

Like Metallica the youth into metal in the 90s, Kirk got the youth into Family Values in the last decade.

If somebody never listened to Frank Zappa before, what’s the best album to get started with?

Zappa has so insane variation in his 60+(!) album discography that it’s impossible to say. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

I think Uncle Meat, Hot Rats and We’re Only in It For the Money are the most renowned albums. But that’s debatable

PS. We have ended from Charlie Kirk to Frank Zappa, not an easy leap to do.

Now that everyone has had a much needed Zappa break, I’m going to bring this back on topic.

Right-wing violence has killed six times more people than left-wing violence since 1990. This is according to the DOJ.

However, this was taken down after Kirk was killed. Totally not suspicious.

How does one get banned here?

Or can I just ask mods to delete my account?

If this is in response to my post, feel to launch a full fuselage my way. I know you’re a smart guy so it won’t make me bitch about it to the mods.

Nah, not in particular.

Just time for me to move on from all and any “social media” / forums.

Heading for full seclusion. I’m tired and have no more patience / time for any of it frankly.

I respect that.

It’s really hard to divide that stuff into left and right. But I’d also imagine since 1990 included OK City. Which if were talking raw numbers of deaths would skew everything for decades.

Steven Crowder recently went through a few a study that was being cited by the news media and there were some big ones being omitted, including all of the 2020 summer protests.

I’ve been there before and honestly, if its bothering you to that point just stay out of PWI for a while. I’ve had to do it a few times over the years for my sanity.

I’m good sanity wise.

I want no part of anymore debate or even conversing with those with views opposite of mine.

I won’t be cordial anymore or tolerate them in any setting because I don’t have to.

Best of luck to everyone. It’s been real. It’s been fun, but it hasn’t been real fun.

My original question still stands, how do I get banned or perma deleted?
