I think it is difficult to categorize the alt right as right - it’s an entirely different animal.

Oh definitely has to be included. I just mean there’s probably a better way of separating the data so it’s not just death count vs death count. Easy to spin. You know the old, “lies, damn lies and statistics.”
While I think number of deaths is most relevant to real-life effects, maybe number of perpetrators would be a useful metric.
I don’t feel like spending time parsing the data about that right now though.

Agreed. I was pretty deep into that scene earlier because I got into gaming, but also had a job, a girlfriend, and went to the gym, so it didn’t really click, but I’m not suprised at what we’re seeing.
Nah, that wasn’t me - and I wouldn’t want it to be me. He stated his reasons. I have a ton of respect for Bauber and even though we have differing views about how we would run things, I appreciate him being a voice of reason for viewpoints I hadn’t considered. I have zero doubt that he’s a decent man who lives a life without guile, and I respect the hell out of that.
Plus he has a great writing style, and dosen’t just post in the off topic section. His ideas about nutrition and lifting made me try some new things that have worked out pretty well.
So if he takes a break (which is understandable), and comes back, I look forward to what he has to say.

I think you should check the civilian casualties among the German population in ww2 and consider the fact that they didn’t use their people as human shields, or use hospitals and schools as military bases.
Also, Palestine has refused every offer for a peaceful solution. Bill fucking Clinton has expressed his frustration regarding the issue.
We have to understand that Islam is a supremacist religion/ideology. It doesn’t matter that Israel is a Jewish state, if they were Buddhists, those nuts would still want them erased off the map. In their eyes, you can live “peacefully” as a jew only under subjugation.

What a bummer… My brother and I were super upset with this news. To quote my brother “he had the attitudes and ideas that could have made him one of our friends… To see someone getting shot for what are MODERATELY conservative views at the end of the day is very, very scary.”
He had a wife… he had children… He was shot dead in front of his wife and child. Extremely upsetting, I can’t help but feel the US is headed towards the brink of genuine domestic civil conflict.
All he did was debate college kids on the frontline…. This future generation of politicians, doctors and lawyers have been/are ideologically captured by academic institutions that as of current seem hell bent on ending the west and sympathizing with causes that are autocratic and ironically incredibly illiberal (islam etc) while also pushing this UNBELIEVABLY warped vision of what reality is onto people who attend universities
Uni is supposed to be about education, not “advocacy”, virtual signalling or political activism. All he ever did was talk… He never fought anyone, he copped a lot of insults on campus etc and over time became a very good debater.
He is dead… for encouraging serious debate on uncomfortable topics… Sad…. What kind of world do we live in where I don’t like what you have to say so I shoot you dead 
It’s absolutely unfair…. so, so unfair and so cruel. I was suprisingly crushed by his death. Didn’t agree with him on everything, but he made a lot of good points.
I hope his killer is given the death penalty for this. This was an act of domestic terrorism (meets the criteria based on definition of terrorism)… The goal is to intimidate people into shutting up. The number of people on the left who either celebrated or made questionable comments “well he WAS divisive” is absolutely shocking and unaccptable.
I don’t care if he was a neo-nazi, white supremacist, genocide advocator (whatever people like to call him)… he didn’t deserve what he got at the age of 31 (and I don’t believe he was any of these things, even if some people employed at turningpoint USA have been questionable). No one deserves to go that way over words alone.

Dresden was wiped off the map within a month killing between 25-250k civillians… we don’t actually know how many died. It was the ONLY way to win WWII (extreme brutality and aggression)
Hamas is a death cult that will not reason with logic, you can’t negotiate with Hamas or PIJ and even the PA is corrupt as shit, funds terrorism (martyr fund etc/pay for slay policy) and you can’t negotiate with an organisation that will only play ball if you agree to “the right of return” meaning anyone with a parent or grandparent born in Gaza/West Bank is considered “Palestinina” and the proposed agreement by PA is “let over 10 million muslims come in and it’ll be totally fine”
Jews have been expelled or systemically murdered in every muslim majority country to date. Israel is 25% muslim or so… what muslim country is even 0.3% Jewish? Most don’t accept ANY other religion including christianity.

Your voice is really valuable on T Nation. It has been to me and tons of others. I don’t follow every thread or conversation but whenever I see a comment from you I learn something new. I know this is a long shot, but would you consider just taking a break for a few weeks and then reevaluating? Maybe that means just popping in on fun topics instead of heavier ones, like this.

Odd tidbit: When Pittsburgh was an industrial superpower, the research and energy labs that were considered invaluable were moved outside of the projected nuclear blast zone, and one was built deep into the side of a mountain a few miles from my house.
Some institutions are too big to move though, like CMU, Pitt, and the major hospitals of the region- which are also high value targets for knocking the ability to make war out in this region.

Let’s make an example: If Hamas could somehow do another attack now to Israel and execute hundreds of Israeli civilians while attacking to military targets, would that be just part of regular war and okay?

No, its an atrocity. But war is atrocious. Total War, like Putin declared on Ukraine is disgusting and horrible. Having a bunch of undisciplined scum pull up in tanks and learn how to use them by opening fire on populated highrises is absolutely ridiculous, but that was his first move.
Its hard to make declarative statements about which side does what, but its pretty easy to understand why and how the differences can be drawn between collateral mortality and simply targeting civilians for the sake of murder.
Hamas did that. The people of Palestine did that. They attacked citizens, women, children, the elderly, and joyously murdered and raped them.
The fucking horse of self righteousness left the barn, in flames- on that one my man. And there is no getting it back.
