On (or about) the same day as this shooting, a Rabbi walking to shul was murdered by two black guys. Numerous swastikas had been painted on the shul in recent times.
Apparently, however, the murder of an unarmed Jewish man on his way to worship G-d is not a “hate crime,” nor particularly newsworthy, since it’s not picked up by US media. You have to either read the local Miami paper (several pages in) or go across the ocean to Israel.
Perhaps we Jews need to start attacking cops and stealing big screen TVs to get some justice.
