Someone on this board said that they rinse the fat off of their ground beef. Does anyone know how to do this? It sounds like you just put the cooked meat in a strainer and spray the meat with water, but I want to make sure I am doing this right.
You got it right. I like to use a slotted spatula to carefully remove meat from pan while leaving as much fat as possible behind in pan, then put in strainer and rinse well with hot water. You can then dump meat on a platter covered with paper towels to absord excess water or any leftover grease.
Here’s another option. I bought a small grinder. I buy a lean piece of meat, and make my own ground beef with almost no fat.

Thanks guys. I have also heard that putting lemon juice or anything acidic on the meat will help to remove even more grease. Is this true?
