Thanks buddy, we’re keeping it positive around here.
Changed my log title again after posting this in UP’s log.
A while back I heard a story about a family who was in a concentration camp years ago. They were being marched to some hell hole when another person collapsed and was shot by a Nazi. The Nazi turned to the father and said “if you want to live keep moving forward, right foot left foot”. That statement has become a mantra for me and keeps me positive.
Sometimes life is a mother fucker, it’s not fair, it’s hard and unforgiving. We have no choice but keep our minds focused on the horizon and keep moving forward.
Another quote from an old country song by Chris Ledoux, so simple yet powerful.
Sit tall in the saddle, Hold your head up high
Keep your eyes fixed where the trail meets the sky
And live like you ain’t afraid to die
And don’t be scared, just enjoy your ride.
Sorry I’m in an inspirational mood this morning.
Hey DDAY that is great that the Mrs is doing well and battling hard!!! Very pleased to have read that.
Good luck to you and the Missus!

Don’t be sorry man. That is a powerful mantra. I love it.
Sounds like you have a real strong wife, thats great, and a great log title.
Though not in the same league as being shot if i didn’t move : it reminds me of some of those ‘long hard slog’ mountain days when the trail just keeps coming and the rucksack straps are biting hard and heavy…right foot…left foot…
Nice to hear you both sounding positive.
Inspire away. I saw the change in title, glad it keeps you on the up!
Dday don’t forget JLO and I are here for questions. Just an email away. Stay strong brother.
Just breath and put one foot in front of the other.
Thowing Prayer at your family this morning Brother! Stay Strong!
It’s great to hear that your wife is staying so strong. We’re all pulling for both of you dday.
Glad u all are able to stay positive and knowing it will work out in the end
You’ll do great. Theres an energy and competitive vibe at a meet that yo’ll never feel in most gyms and you’ll feed off of it.

Hey dday, saw something about a pr squat!!! Awesome!!!
Got to love a guy who quotes Chris Ledoux…
A very wise man once told me his 3 step process to dealing with a crissis and i think he was right on
FWIW
Your going to feel how you feel…mad, sad, angry etc
Take an action to deal with the situation/crissis
As soon as you can get back to what was important to you before the crissis
I think about you and your wife often!
Thank you everyone for your thoughts. Im in a training class all week and typing from my phone so I can’t reply to each of you like I would like. Just know you’re all appreciated.
excuses excuses ![]()
Thinking of you and your wife buddy. Sending positive energy…

I’MMMMMMMM BACCCCCCKKKKKK!!!
What a week. Didn’t make 12 hours each day but may as well have. Boot camp style training is a mofo, way too much information in too short a time. My brain is coming out of my ears. Plan to study my ass off for the next two weeks, then take the CCNA (Cisco certified network associate) shortly after.
Can’t wait to get back to training, hell a normal life will be cool. Haven’t done anything remotely taxing all week, well unless you include eating really crappy food and sitting on my ass. Worried about stepping on the scale tomorrow.
Wifey update: One more day of radiation, Monday. She meet with her Dr today and got some great news. Her doctor was very excited to tell her that her tumor numbers have dropped significantly! We don’t have numbers but her doctor was very surprised by how much they’d dropped. Great day folks.
Happy weekend y’all, Monday it’s on!!
