Nice nice work Dday awesome PR on the squatz!!! I love picking up 2 reps on any weight!!
Thank you oh mighty squat master

Legal depth is defined as hip crease beneath the knee. So if that is what you are going for lower the box a little. You might also benefit from a slightly wider stance. Work on pushing your knees out harder too, kinda look like your knees are caving a little in the video.

Sorry about the ATL, bad game.
Well you’re much stronger than I am so it evens out

This was a crap weekend for me sports wise. UGA lost, ND lost, ATL lost and Jimmy Johnson wrecked out of the race.
UGA and ATL?? Any reason you pull for GA teams? Just wondering, as that is where I am from.

It started with the Falcons in about 97-98. Then as time went on a few visits to Atlanta and meeting people from there I fell in love with the city and area in general. I wouldn’t say I’m an UGA fan by SEC standards but I do pull for them. I don’t really have a college team but if someone held me down and demanded me to declare a team it’d probably be Notre Dame. My mom was a big ND fan so I grew up on them.

What depth are you shooting for? Right now you look about two inches high when you’re on the box. Now if you aren’t shooting for meet depth then who the hell cares. I actually think some good can come from squating a hair high if it helps you push your load.

I just didn’t want you to get surprised if you were going to do a meet or if some A-hole got pissy if you posted the video in another forum.

Either way thats good squatting and great effort.
No plans to compete Joe, just looking for about 90* or close. What I’m looking at is femur parallel to the ground? Is that wrong?
What are you seeing that says a hair high? Hip crease to knee? If I should adjust I will. Basically just want it close enough where people wouldn’t hassle me about it. I’m feeling it where I want to but also don’t want to half ass it.
Thanks.
PL depth is hip crease below the knee. But like i said if you aren’t meet lifting who cares. As far Ias I am concerned your depth was fine if you aren’t competing but there are some giant assholes on this site who will bust your ass if a squat isn’t IPF perfect.

Only if he posts it in PL forum or others (for record Dday I cant see it at work so have no comment) cause in here nobody is going to bust his balls. This is where we are supposed to get constructive help. Sorry just my .02 Joe. Cause I hear you.

I think we can be really good if we get decent QB play but tht is a pretty big if.

The wife is an Auburn grad and she keeps screaming at their defense duing games. It’s kind of cute.

I am not a huge UGA fan either, even though I lived in Athens from 11 until 27, when I moved to OK. I was a cop in Athens, and had to deal with too many of the players to continue to pull for them. How sad is that!?

I am an SEC fan, however, and am looking forward to making it 6 straight.

I prefer college ball to pro. But I do seem to be reacquiring my taste for the latter.

Cool. Yea I’ve met some of those guys before, that’s why I hang with th O35 crew now. Thanks.

Thanks Pete. I hadn’t realized my knees were coming in like that until you pointed it out. I knew something look odd but wasn’t sure why. Will also try a little wider stance next week.

I’m a pro guy all the way. The only reason is there are so many college teams and the players are always changing, I can’t keep up. Well that and around here it’s either MU or KU. MU fans suck as people 95% of the time, they act like their team has done something in any sport especially if critisize the team, they’re very defensive. I like KU in March and when it comes to the KU v. MU debates just because the reason above.
Messed up that the players are so bad, they probably think they’re gods on and off the field.

No shit, I mean yeah he was good but without him their terrible.

Big congrats on the squat PR.

I went through the whole “depth” thing a year or so ago. It’s a bit of an ego blow to begin with, but it comes back real quick as you’re finding out. It’s well worth the short term sacrifice.

Awesome effort man!

Thanks Brett, been working hard to get this close. You’ve certainly got no problems with depth now.

That was it. Spent the whole day today taking a class prep for next weeks CCNA boot camp. 10hrs of dry, boring, redundant information wore me the hell out. My mind was just not into it tonight, I tried really hard to get myself mentally ready just never happened. Took the get in get out approach. I suck.

Just checking in to say I’m still alive. Been a busy few days and next week is going to be tough.

Wife update. Last week I said it was the end of the second week of radiation, it was the first, I’m losing my mind. This week was the end of the second week. She’s doing great, starting to have a few side effects here and there but thus far doing well. Hair is getting pretty thin but still there and her face is pretty puffy, very chipmunk like. She’s on the roids and they keep her awake a lot but she does get enough rest. Still wouldn’t know there is anything wrong with her. She’s a total trooper, she’s gonna beat this.
