I sure hope so Joe. It’s certainly gotten better.

Felt good tonight. Pulls were strong but again conditioning played a part, just need to get used to reps higher than 3.
Tried a little benching to check the shoulder out. This was only the bar in my smith machine which is about 65lbs but I was able to do 2x10 without pain. I was really focusing on contracting my entire shoulder girdle, felt pretty good, not 100% but much better.

WOW Diet fail! Guys at work talked me into all you can eat tacos for lunch. Had to make myself stop at 9, they were damn good.

WHAT? even after my yummy pics ? haha

Thanks for reminding me i need that v hold thing for getto rows

I love tacos made with lean ground beef 1/8 cup olive juice(green ones), elpato sauce 1tbs( or if like very spicey add more), small can tomato sauce, i also put in diced up red potato Ill have to find that recipe to be sure i got it all. My old neighbor in AZ turned me on to it.

UP, those tacos sound awesome.

The ones I had were very normal shell, meat, cheese and lettuce.

Stuff and junk tonight.

Dude, you need to get hooked up with the blue beast. It will rock your world.
Nice lifting for a “skinny fat guy”. yeah right.

Nice pulling and eating!

Thanks OP and Matty.

Good mornings

Yesterday was a mess, didn’t get to lift until 9pm, normally in be by 10p but had to work at midnight. It was all I could do to force myself to get what I got done, done. Top it off we had my favorite dinner, 8oz KC Strip with crab cakes which is usually right after squatting not before. Felt like puking the whole time. Lesson learned.

This weeks schedule is all jacked up, hopefully I’ll get to lift like I want but we’ll see.

Woke up sick yesterday, couldn’t get warm, joints ache and no energy. Went home, slept 4 hours ate dinner and went back to bed. This morning feeling much better, still slightly achy and sluggish but over all better. Depends on how the day goes today may not lift tonight.
Cold as hell in the mornings all the sudden, time to dust off the treadmill.

Lifting when sick sucks, take a couple of days and then get back to it.

^so true Joe but I did get a little lifting in.

Felt a bit better but not great so instead of deads it was a pressing kind of night. 135x8 is pretty good considering all the shoulder troubles, it is getting better each day.

Wife update: Tomorrow ends the second week of radiation treatments, one more week to go. They got her on the roidz and oddly enough she’s gaining weight. In 2 weeks she’s gained almost 10lbs, she’s freaking out about that but it’s better than the wasting away often associated with chemo. We’re hoping that a few weeks after radiation she’ll get the ok to drive again, it’s been pretty hard on everyone having to take her to treatments. We’re very fortunate to have her folks close to us, they’ve been amazing. All in all spirits are high and we’re both very motivated to succeed.

Here is some crazy music I’m obsessed with of late. Redneck death metal.

If nothing else watch this one

Im liking this stuff…maybe gotta add it to the rotation…this will fucking get me amped!

I agree on the wife, gaining a little weight people would be less likely to comment “are you getting fat”

I have a hard enough time counting reps that music would throw me way off !

nice workout and great to hear about the shoulder and wife!

Ya know, I like the music, but I just can’t get past the demonic voices…lol. Why can’t they just sing heavy, like Iron Maiden, Metallica, Disturbed and the like?? If I could get a version without the lyrics, I could DEFINITELY lift to it.

That being said, the Hank III was pretty damned interesting.

Stoked about your Mrs!! Great attitude by both of you…

Hank’s grandaddy is spinnin is his grave. But I like the music. They have bootcamp for computer stuff now? I’m picturing, “Recruit, you best not be eyeballin’ me while writin’ that code! I’ll stick my size 12 so far up your usb an antivirus won’t be able to get it out!”
Good lifting and glad things are going better.
