Last set sure felt like I had more in the tank just gassed. Haven’t done any reps over 3 for a few months, with any luck sets of 7 will become sets of 10 soon. I missed the intensity of that last set. Hamstrings are sore already.

You’re quite tall aren’t you? (6’1" If I remember right)

Why do you want to be so light?

200 at that height is pretty skinny.

Hope things are going well for you both right now.

^ He is a former fat boy like I was, we dont look at things the same.

Yep DJ is right. I keep a somewhat delusional impression of weight in my head, helps keep me right. I’ve seen so many friends lose a bunch of weight only to gain it all back or more within a few years. So far I’ve kept off about 75lbs for 3 years, granted I’ve gained weight and lost weight over the years but never gotten much over 240. 200 is a carrot, if I get around 210 or any other weight where I feel to skinny I’ll hold there.

Shoot for the stars and land on the moon broheim…75lbs in three years is awesome and a healthy way to do it. On top of that your losing weight and keeping strength! Since I have been working nights my diet has been awful up until this past week or so…almost every night it was Mickey Dees or Sonic or Pizza and it was starting to take its toll.

So I found a diner where I can get some healthy shit…and the gipper is its connected to a Strip Club…FULL OF AWESOME…so I get to eat my food and flirt with strippers and talk about getting swolez!!! Im not big fan of strip clubs…but strippers at a diner I am a fan of…I think I got sidetracked. Anyways kudos bro.

What a great day today! Found the ball my kiddo lost that I use to work out knots in the small areas the roller can’t get to. Had a HUGE knot in my right lat area that shot pain right to the spot in my shoulder that’s been hurting. After digging that sucker out shoulder was 10x’s better. Also added in some good stretch to isolate the pain area, this also helped. Think I might be on to something, still need to get to the ortho but…yea

Personal update: Wife first- She got blood work that showed tumor counts have gone down!! Only 1 point but down is good, the Dr said lots of times at the first test the count goes up. Seem to be headed in the right direction.

my turn- my boss signed me up for my CCNA boot camp. He also promised me some much higher level training that in his words “You will never worry about a job again”. CCIE and Juniper’s equivalent. STOAKED!!!

great news all around very happy for you

great news!!

and that 155 military was some good work
training is looking solid too.

has anyone else peeped some of the pictures in DDays hub-
big transformation.

Dday- I like the cressey articles on shoulders.
and you should go peep the mobility thread
just a group of links and videos that help

I have to do allot to get the shoulders warm
facepulls, scap pushups yltp all do the trick

edit

the thing about benching vs OH pressing

your head has somewhere to go with OH pressing moving back and forward as the bar goes up
in bench - your head is kind stuck where it is.
that is my bs 2 cents on neck- shoulder issues

soldog, Pete, Thanks guys it was truly a good day.

KMC- Thanks for checking my pictures, I’m pretty proud of where I’ve come. The picture of me titled something like 288lbs fat bastard I’m probably closer to 300lbs. When I started training I didn’t weigh myself for two weeks so I was 288 the first time I stepped on the scale.
Got a long way to go still but getting there. Need to get some recent ones up to compare.
Most of the shoulder mobility stuff I do came from the mobility thread, there have been some posts since I looked at it last so I need to revisit it.
Sitting here this morning and my shoulder feels amazing, normally after press day it’s a little sore and wonky but at the moment it’s strong. You may be right regarding bench v OHP, makes sense.

Nice work.

Congrats with the wife! That is great news indeed!

CCIE? That is the holy grail. They wanted my co-worker and I to get CCIEs. We told them, assuming we could pass the tests, they wouldn’t be able to afford us anymore. Which is true. Of course, so many CCIEs travel all the damned time. It seems the nature of the job, unless you luck up and get a fixed position.
I hate travelling for work.

lots of good stuff here!

Strick- CCIE is the goal for sure, gotta get the CCNA first but that’s the path hopefully next year. Just got the course schedule for the CCNA bootcamp, it’s 5- 12 hour days!!! Holy hell, they didn’t disclose that part in the course description.
I traveled for a job once for 6 months, that was enough. However for enough money I might consider it.

Thanks MIM

It sounds like things are turning your way. Hope that continues.
