Right Foot, Left Foot

ain’t nuttin’wrong with those squats bro!

I would lower the pins a hole so you can push the depth without hitting them. It always screwed with me to hit the pins

Thanks, they’re coming along. Back about 10 pages the squats didn’t look so good.

Lowered the pins after tagging them on the last rep of 275, not sure why I raised them to begin with?

Wow dday, much improved! Great work.

Nice work on your event! Love the new avi.

About your wife, tough news. I will say that incredible advances have been made in the field of breast cancer treatment/eradication. I had a little scare with that a while back but turned up on the lucky end. I’m sure you will be undergoing a tremendous amount of stress in the coming months. Try to stick with training as a stress reliever. And know we are all thinking of and pulling for your wife.
Thanks snap. We’re taking it day by day. Her spirits were high yesterday, much more normal than she’s been in some time. Hope to get some good news tomorrow morning when she gets the MRI.
Ive been holding off saying anything . But ,I know what your going through. My wife had to deal with Lymphoma caner a little over two years ago. I know that it pretty hard on your wife and yourself the fear of the unknown is a true bitch. All I can say is just be there for your wife which I’m sure you will be . In the end it will work it self out. All my hopes to you and your family that things go well.

Thank you. I honestly had a mental image of your squats in my head and tried to mimic them.

Wow man sorry to hear that. Thank you for the support it is truly appreciated.

Ok folks update on my wife. This morning she got her MRI and this afternoon we got the results. Looks like it’s spread to the lympnodes and liver HOWEVER this type of cancer is very treatable. The Dr said that they have seen this form disappear completely after chemo. The potential is still there for losing the breast but we’re not stressing on that right now. There is a good chance that within 6 months she will be cancer free and back to normal.

We see the oncologist on Friday to layout the chemo plan. They already have her hormone profile and narrowed the treatments down specifically tailored to her. The surgeon said that usually with this type of cancer the treatments will likely be every 3 weeks.

All in all I left with a very positive feeling and a lot less fear. My wife doesn’t share my optimism as she just doesn’t understand everything just yet(not that I’m an expert). At the end of the day it’s going to be her fight, I’m just supporting cast but she’s really strong, I have no doubts.

Hey Dday, not sure what type of facility she is being treated at but have y’all explored clinical research meds as well. These type of trials have certain inclusion/exlusion criteria, but if eligible she can receive medications at not cost and treatment. Again, just a thought, my mom had cancer and even being in the medical field I felt lost in the system, so many different treatment plans, and I just went with what they told us to do and didn’t ask questions until after the fact. Let me know if I can help with any questions or if you have the name of the meds themselves I can research them for you, I have a connection to some oncology experts here in Houston.

Glad to hear there is a positive plan. Really cheering for you and your wife.

x2

JLO- we’ll find out more about what kind of facility and what the exact plan is come Friday when we see the oncologist. Will most certainly take you up on that offer at some point through the process. Thank you so much, I’ll need all the help I can get.

Pete and G1 thank you guys.

When I started reading I went ‘Uh oh’ but I’m super happy that the prognosis is so positive.
My cousin has been battling lymphoma for the past few months and things are really starting to improve for him and it looks good.

She can do this.

Everyday you and your wife will be in our prayers…

We were surprised as well that it had spreed so fast but the Dr seemed pretty sure of the situation so I’m keeping very positive.

My best wishes to your cousin, glad things are turning around for him. I’ll keep him in my thoughts.

Thanks Git

Thanks buddy. We’re all pretty excited now after getting the news. I’ll be sure to let y’all know the status once we get it.

Everyone- I cannot stress enough how thankful I am to have each and everyone of you supporting us at this time. My wife wants to keep this quiet for the time being so I have no outlet for my thoughts. Having the ears of my T-Nation family has been a great comfort. Now’s the time for our fight and knowing there are people in our corner makes it much easier.

Dude, this is great news.

I’m glad you have some positive energy going on right now.

^ hey Dot, we lost the Bob. I was hoping he would hold.
