“I firmly believe that any man’s finest hour, the greatest fulfillment of all that he holds dear, is that moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle - victorious.”

Your family will be in our prayers.
Time for a fight.
If children have the ability to ignore all odds and percentages, then maybe we can all learn from them. When you think about it, what other choice is there but to hope? We have two options, medically and emotionally: give up, or fight like hell. ~Lance Armstrong[/quote]

Life kicks us all in the balls at one time or another and it up to us how we respond. I don’t know you but from following your log you seem to have grit. Keep doing what your doing, stay strong for your wife and continue to take care of yourself. We are all defined as men by how we deal with adversity. I personally find strength to overcome by my faith (hope) and also when I look at my children and ask myself what kind of dad do they deserve? Like your new thread title suggests, a fighter. Hang in there brother and beat this mofo.
Warrior dash COMPLETE!!!
I for sure beat one co-worker by probably 40 minutes, maybe more. The other one ran with the group before the one we were in so I don’t know if I beat him, results aren’t posted yet.
It was much harder than I expected simply because we had a 90 minute heavy rain storm about 2 hours prior so the mud was crazy. I ran as much as I could, the last half of the race was pretty much walking because mud was so bad you couldn’t run unless you wanted a broken ankle.
Way more hilly than I’d expected and super rocky. I could tell how much the prowler work helped walking up the mud covered hills I was flying by people. Most folks struggled up hill I excelled. The obstacles we’re pretty easy for the most part, I don’t like heights so a couple were unnerving.
I don’t think I’ll run another unless I go with a partner who can either keep up or I’ll hang with them. It would be a lot more fun with someone else to joke around with.
Guys, thank you all so much for the inspirational words and overwhelming support. I honestly through about you all while running and how awesome you all are.
My time wasn’t great at 56:15 with an 18:38 mile time. The closest was 1:14 with a 24:47 mile time, followed by 1:21 26:55 mile time.
Finished 384/677. Actually beat everyone I know who was in the race. Me proud.
