Ran this morning, still hate it. There was a brief moment at the beginning of this training where I started to like it but it was short lived. Really just want to get this damn race over.
Decided to lower my calories down to around 2k and see what happens. DST turned me on to myfitnesspal.com and mobile ap, so far it’s much better than fitday. The program recommends me eat 1990 calories per day to lose 1.5lbs a week, I’m good with that for now, hopefully can reach that 200lb make soon. Been sitting between 229-231lbs recently.[/quote]
I hate running too. Just thought I’d let you know.
I’m really liking myfitnesspal, the bar code scanner is awesome.

Getting ready to go run now, almost over.
Haven’t tested the bar code scanner yet but it’s on the list.
Posted this yesterday and deleted it. At the time I was kind of mixed up and a bit in shock. Decided to share now because you guys have been such a great support system for training advice and have become friends. We will know more tomorrow after the MRI.
Yesterday my wife went to the Dr’s office to have a lump on her breast removed. Initially all the previous Dr’s thought it was a hemotoma(sp), she’d recently had implants after our son wrecked the old fun bags. Anyhow, it hadn’t gone away in months so she decided to have it removed and biopsied just in case. Well, it is cancer, stage 2 but at the moment we have no more information.
As her husband I have to remain strong and show no fear in front of her and that exactly what I’m going to do. In reality I’m a scared little boy. I’ve lost so much to fucking cancer, mother, both grandmothers and 2 aunts. It’s a vile disease that no one should have to ever go through, especially the mother of a two year old.
For now I’m going to bite my lip, smile and be there for what ever she needs. She will never see my fear as I am her rock and will fight beside her no matter what the prognosis.
Right now, I have no idea where my training is headed there are more important things to worry about. I am going to have to focus on me a little because this is the perfect excuse to stop training and let myself go again, which will not happen. Not sure about the race Saturday, 99% sure I’m going to run but my wife takes precedent.
This week sure took a left turn. Thank you guys for your concern, your prayers are appreciated. Once I know more I’ll let you know.

Dday you know me man you need something let me know email me on gmail if and when you get questions. Even if you are in the Drs office with the wife you can IM me on gmail so I can help out. As long as they got it prior to it getting into the lymph and they got all of it then things should come out 100%. I will be praying for you and your family Dday.
No problem on my end Dday and it is never dumb questions. The medical field has its own language just like the IT world and accounting world. So please do not hesitate ever to ask a question, I am on call 24/7/365 so I always have my phone on me.
I speak as one who grew up with a father that never did anything to make himself happy. For God’s sake, don’t do that to your family! They need all the happiness and inspiration you can give them. Do the race and have a ton of fun, win or lose.
Sorry to hear buddy. You have my support and anything you need, let me know. I lost a sister to cancer a few years ago, you are right it is vile. Good luck and stay positive.
