237.4lbs that’s +3lbs since wednesday WTF?!?!?!?! Not sure what to say about that, no cheat meals, diet is the same as ever. Guess maybe retaining water for some reason? Guess we’ll see what the scales says next wednesday, if it doesn’t have a better number I need to adjust my diet.
Just may advise when you hit a plateau do a carb up day, eat a ton of rice and fruit. Then get back on it.
Ya know what, I just tried to think of the last time I went on a full on carb up day, not just an occasional burrito or sweet potato cheat meal. Even before this thread I followed a carb cycle, just lowered my calories and increased cardio for this round. Today I’m helping the in-laws move so it sounds like a good day for it.
Also this morning I finally after 36 years learned how to run distances. Chest out head up, kind of like a proper squat, I ran a mile+ with ease, only stopped because I had to pee and need to get ready to go help move. I literally could have ran another mile or more, wasn’t even breathing hard.

Are you doing the prowler for strength or conditioning? How long have you been doing it for and have you noticed any changes from using it?
Are you also chasing a BF goal or just a weight goal?

Mostly conditioning but I really enjoy pushing it as well. I’ve only seriously been pushing it for a monthish, since it’s been gotten warmer. We usually push it for 15-20 minutes or 6 sets-8sets. It’s getting much easier, need to start adding more weight. As far as changes…haven’t really noticed much physically, my cardio is going up fast though.
Mostly just a weight goal, I have calipers and know how to take body fat measurements but it’s hard to do accurately on myself.
Could’ve been salt you had in your food the day before.
Still, your metabolism can slow quickly. A short while ago I skipped a cheat meal and when 2 weeks passed of a strict caloric deficit, my bodyfat % went up.

That’s kind of what I was thinking. I’ll be making up on cheat meals this weekend. Yesterday when I helped my in-laws move the only food around was donuts and pizza, trust me I earned every damn bite. The movers were me and my 65 year old father in-law, guess who did all the heavy lifting.
I love to cheat with carbs, for the leptin levels. Pizza and donuts sounds great to me!
You did recently lower your caloric intake so be careful with your metabolism. Skipping cheats may sound good in theory but turns out so bad. That shit is so annoying, but it’s just our bodies trying to protect us.
Well happy easter folks. Since today was Easter and we had my sons birthday party I decided to carb up like a mofo. Had cake and ice cream for the first time in 3 years, I have had maybe 3 mini candy bars in that time and no soda (except energy drinks) this lead to a monster sugar buzz, I’m still floating.
Tomorrow is back to serious dieting and more cardio, actually excited to run and squat. Hopefully my escapades today will trigger some serious fat loss.

How hard was the crash from the sugar buzz?
About 9:30 I felt like I’d taken a valium, couldn’t keep my eyes open 9:45 I was out. I can honestly say I still do not miss sugar. On the other hand a shot of cake before squat or deadlift day might be awesome.
Squat day and it sucked.
135x5
175x5
205x5
225x5
265x5
185x15
Curls
4x10-15
Prowler push
2x sled+45’s
1x sled+45&35’s
So first off, no mater how hard I try I cannot get to depth. They looked ok just several inches high, I stretch, foam roll all types other stuff and still high. Thinking I need to make a box at depth and just keep working on it.
Next prowler work. Something I found out tonight pushing the demon steel in the rain somehow makes it 10,000x’s harder. I would have assumed that wet pavement would make the sled move better, it does not. Normally I can zip the sled with 2 45’s down the road with ease, unbelievable. Legs are good and sore, didn’t get much cardio out of it though.
I agree about making a box to size. Are you not making depth on all of your reps or just some of them? I would also watch that last set of 15. Is there a specific purpose for that set? I find that anything more than 5 and my form goes to hell in a hand basket. Why not do 5 set of 3 or 3 sets of 5 instead? I mean you’re getting plenty of conditioning from the prowler.
