Right Foot Is Out of Line

Can anyone explain why my right foot is like this when laying down relaxed. I have noticed also when sitting down my right foot tends to point to 2 o clock.
I also have a sharp pain in my lower left side of back, is this pain a result of this ?

Thanks

Tight hip, weak glute/extensors.

It could be Lupus.

Maybe it’s external tibia torsion.

I’d say there’s no more than a 5-10% chance you are incorrect.

Left side hip and low back are “Tight” pushing the left side of your pelvis forward. So when you’re lying down the left side of your pelvis is higher and the right of your pelvis is lower. As a result the right leg kinda rolls out to the side.

If you can loosen up that left hip and allow it to fall back in line your right side shouldn’t “spill out” so much.

Here’s a basic stretch for that left side. Get on all fours, push your hips back and to the left side to stretch that left hip/glute area.

Here’s a more complicated video, with sciencey stuff and the gentlest stretches.

If you’re into Yoga you could check out he Pigeon Pose.

And if you’re a gym rat meat head you can use an adjustable bench to start easy and progress over time.

I do that last pictured one on the floor face down.

It feels sooooooo good. Like magic on my lower back & hips. :+1:
