good night… great pump.
This goes straight into my “quotes to torment meat with, once he goes back to powerlifting”-book.
you had better stop posting in my thread man… the Tcellers are going to get mad at you and take back your Tcell decoder ring. Well, I figure that if I can get away with annoying high-level powerlifters, I’m probably enough of a scoundrel to be able to get away with anything… Except for mentioning certain supp-companies on here, that is. That incurs the wrath of the gods instantly, I couldn’t help but notice.
Also, when are you going to give me a sneak peak into your training so i have something to make fun of. i’m too easy a target.
Yeah, that smith machine vid really kinda got you trapped in a corner, didn’t it.
I guess I’m fighting a little too dirty at times.
I had about a 2 hour time-frame after your injury during which I was probably squatting more than you were, but that chance of mocking you is gone… If I were to post a video now, you could mock me instead, and that’s having things ass-backwards, right?
And now you’re getting all lean and light and “relatively-strong”, too… So I really don’t have much going for me anymore… Don’t you want to keep that belly? C’mon. Um… Because the chicks dig it and the beer demands it?
I can’t call you “my cute lil’ cuddle-bear” anymore, either, because your skin will soon be all paper-thin and un-cuddly and hair-less and tanned and oily…
That’s really what hurts me the most, you know, and once you get down to 160 or wherever it is you’re headed, you’ll be able to chase me around without suffering multiple heart-attacks, too, whenever I make some snarky comment in your thread…
You dieting is really making my life miserable here, I implore you to stop before it’s too late to save that wonderful friendship of ours!
Ok, ok, I’ll stop now.

don’t worry man… i think i’m getting too strong for free weights. It’s time to control the weight more and protect my joints. I’m officially announcing that i’m switching to machines.
if you believe that, i got a bridge to sell you.

I just got done reading another thread were that was recommended! What a coincidence!
Is this bridge in Ohio? otherwise I’m not interested.
Love this thread. The fake PR clip damn near killed me. I was watching intently, making note of how you were setting up and your assistance gear choices…Then nearly fell out of my chair. A great vid in a great thread. Keep it up man.

Who do you think you’re kidding? I’ve seen you use the smith machine multiple times now…
How are you surviving the diet, anyway?
Kick ass meat, Whats your goal weight?

my hypocracy does have limits though. i draw the line at hammerzz strength. i’ve tried that stuff and it doesn’t feel natural to me. i like the freedom of free weights.
diet is going good. i was weighing in at 260 the other morning. back up to 262 right now though. feel’n good.
tonight was my last training session before the comp next weekend. from this point until the comp. is very hard for me. i love to train and taking time off is really hard for me.
bench night- comp. pause and commands
0x10
135x10
225x6
315x4
405x1
455x1-opener
485x1-second
2x2 bench
475x2x2
schwabs-paused
225x6
315x6
405x4 + 20lb PR
circuit
standing calf cable wrist curls
some x 30 x 3 some x 40 x 3
bench feels solid… lower back is still tweaked.
Good luck Meat! I look forward to hearing how you did. :o)
i’m back!!! what a hell of a drive that was…12 hours each way. i won’t be driving to Nashville again anytime soon.
anyway, comp. went well. i was a BOF so anything i did was pathetic anyway:)
When i post the vids, you can see a side judge with a green hat on. that would be the one and only Louie Simmons. talk about pressure. there were a ton of Westside lifters and a bunch of Elitefts sponsored folks there.
I opened with 455… went up easy… 3 whites. Second attempt was 485… went up easy… 3 whites. being flat backed i had to muscle everything. i had no cheaters arch. went to 495 for my third. blasted it off my chest and it drifted… if i had an arch it would have been a cake walk.
my second attempt was good enough to win my division and give me the highest raw bench of the comp.
both my guys did really well and set PR’s across the board.
i’m glad to be back and will start back training on thursday…
oh… forgot to mention, i weighed in at 256… that’s just crazy talk:)
i’ll get vids up tonight after work.

Nice work Meat!! Can’t wait to see the vids.
here are the vids of my opener and second attempt. you can see louie simmons as the side judge in the bottom left hand corner of the vid. he’s wearing a green hat.
Quoting the end of the video: “Niiiiiiice.”
Congrats on winning the Raw Comp!
How has your “diet” been since you are in the phase of “losing fat”? Do you follow the “peri or para” plan?
I’m curious to know how your diet has been coming along and what the affect has been on your lifts? Have you had to make changes or are you still going with your original diet plan you posted earlier in this thread in order to keep things simple?
Keep pumping hard, you definitely provide inspirational factor in my book!
