I dropped out of high school pretty early, but one of the schools I attended had several dudes go onto the NFL, and one was the national hs player of the year. He was featured on the old espn show “scholastic sports America”.
Oh, I’ve also put it in a chick who did playboy, but she never made the actual magazine, just the side “girls of the south” type issues.
Calvin Johnson went to my high school and college. Overlapped one year on each. I didn’t really know him though. Crazy athlete who could have done pretty much anything he wanted.

Weird how that works out. I went to a shitty little high school in New Jersey and we’ve had 3 guys make the NFL since I left. Wayne Chrebet, Luis Castillo and Miles Austin.
I went to high school with Chrebet and played b-ball against him. If you were to tell anyone back then he would make it to the NFL they’d think you were on crack. The football team didn’t even take 1st in our crappy division.

I’m willing to bet that many of the people who think they squat 405 is because they actuall think they can. . But if you were to see them they would only go down 2 inches while their friend spots them from behind.
Take the bench for example, there are these two teens who work out about the same time I do. They went up to 285 for their top sets. I only know because their form was so atrocious I actually laughed. They didn’t even go 1/2 way down and the one kids knees were touching even tho their feet were on the floor and their butts were in the air. They did about 3 sets each at at that weight with that form.
Just yesterday there was a guy doing squats next to me with only 185. He was no where near parallel and bent so much they almost looked liked good mornings. Even better, he was looking straight down at the floor the whole time which made him almost fall forward a coule of times or rides up on his toes at the very least. He did multiple sets like that. I just don’t get t.

I got to play against Leslie Shepherd. I think he returned punts and kicks for the Redskins and the Cowboys. He was on a team with 2 other guys one named Rico Marshall and the other 2 guys were much better than him according to our coaches. Not sure what happened to the third one, but Rico Marshall was killed in some drug thing, so he didn’t make it to the NFL.
