Yep. Exactly what I didn’t want to picture, hence my questions. Sayjin is like a brother that I tell far too much to and to even think about picturing him buttnekkid in my kitchen makes me ill and think about never eating pancakes ever again.
HA!
Not that I mind at all, but this has to be the funniest yet at the same time harshest friend zone bullet that I’ve ever recieved from a girl, made even more painful because you bring my beloved pancakes into the mix AND because its on the internet, from which no one can escape.

Hahaha oh Sayj. You know I have nothing but love for you. This is a rhetorical question so PLEASE DON’T ANSWER…but given all the conversations we’ve had, you can’t possible think of me as anything more than a sweet, innocent, pure little sister (even tho I’m older than you).
That said, thanks for the advice re: my bench. Much appreciated. Now go lift and make some pancakes. Shudder

There’s nothing wrong with pancakes until Sayjin starts talking about mixing the batter with his god-given utensil.
I trained yesterday (well Wed) and posted it Wed night. Sorry that everyone and their mother posted all over my log today so that you actually have to scroll back a full page to find the entry. It was a fun day today on Court’s Quest to 225. Don’t be jealous of Running Guy Wol…it’s unbecoming
I went running tonight with him again… we did 6K worth with some intervals… we were doing an 80% run for the last 150m of each km. It was actually a good run with the exception of my calves being a little tight.
I’m scheduled to donate blood tomorrow evening so as long as my iron levels are fine I won’t be lifting tomorrow, but will lift Saturday afternoon… either deadlifts so I can film or TBT. If my iron is low so I can’t donate, I will lift tomorrow night instead.

Also, I find your lack of training posts disturbing, Court.

Strange utensil? His penis?
Me? Jealous? Why would I be jealous of a guy who’s been slowly laying his game on you and his plans are now coming to fruition? I’m not jealous…(that bastard).
I think you’re supposed to get a free cookie after giving blood. Its supposed to help. I don’t know, we’ll be waiting for your entry, Court.

I remember giving blood in high school, and my ex girlfriend was in there giving me the stink eye. I get my blood drawn and sit down to eat my cookie while shes on the table…but she passes out. Needless to say she didn’t get her cookie.

Glad the run went well, hope the calves are ok.
How did the blood donating go?
The calves are angry. We’re kind of fighting.
Blood donation went well. High iron levels I was quick too… only 4.5 minutes lol. However because the blood donation went well, training yesterday didn’t go so well. I have some videos and will post my training likely tomorrow.
Then I tried to be a genius and run last night with Running Guy as well. That didn’t go too well at all. Angry calves and kind of felt dizzy (maybe something to do with the lack of blood). Anyways, I then proceeded to do the next best thing to working out when you have less blood than usual…I drank
Went to the zoo today and walked around for 5 hours with my little sister, one of her friends and Running Guy. I’m now exhausted so watching the Boys and Packers play before going to bed. Will update tomorrow.
PS. I’m embarrassed for my Patriots. Getting smoked by the Dolphins…seriously!!! I’m hanging my head in shame.
There is madness abound in this thread! Michigan and Ohio are the product of a brother and sister states doing the nasty, with the only difference being one is more Rere than the other, depending on where you live.
I’ll be honest… I don’t really get all the Ohio/Michigan head hanging/whatever. All I know is that my Pats sucked large yesterday. I’m killing the Ohio-Mich ranting now mainly because being from Canada, I don’t understand. And I’m blonde.
Okay so even though WolBarret is spreading lies about me not training in pch2’s log, I did in fact train on Saturday. Like I said yesterday, it was mediocre at best. My energy levels sucked worse than Wol on a busy Saturday night on the street corner.
I had planned on doing my other leg day, but after deadlifts I was pretty dead so instead I resurrected an old arm workout I did many months ago and got swole/pumped/whatever (I’m clearly crazy this morning).
A. Deadlifts 6x4 90s - 135/155/155/165/165/135. The last set I dropped right down because after taping my 3rd and 4th sets and watching them, I wanted to try getting my ass lower. I’ll post the videos later once I get them onto my computer, but know now that they suck and I know it.
My next two weeks will likely be a bit slower from the training side of things. I’m running a 5K race on Sunday and I’m writing my Gmat in 11 days, so I need to get some serious studying/prep in for that.
So I kind of forgot about this one guy from the gym on Saturday until I saw him in the background of one of my videos.
What do flip-flops, a backwards hat, belt and straps have in common? Why it’s the perfect attire to wear if you’re about to do upright rows.
So the guy comes over to the squat rack next to me and sees me doing DLs. I had just finished my first few sets so was adding weight to each side. He kind of gives me a bit of a glare. He puts a plate on each side and I see his straps thinking maybe he’s just warming up and going to do some deadlifts or something. Nope. He wraps his straps around the bar and proceeds to do one set of four (what I can only describe as) power upright rows.
He walks away so I think he’s supersetting with something, but no. He leaves his weights as they are and goes over to do bicep curls. He was still doing some variation of bicep curls when I finished my deadlifts and headed over that way myself. Oh and he was still wearing his belt and his straps.
I was kind of in disbelief because I didn’t think upright rows were the best motion for your shoulder…let alone doing them spastically with 135lbs. What do I know though? I’m just a girl.
So here are my videos. Let me know what you think.
The first is my third set and is with 155lbs. This I did without thinking anything, so my “typical” DL form.

My knee made the most horrible popping sound when I first bent down, hence the reposition.
This is my forth set and is with 165lbs. I watched the first video and was thinking the whole time about getting my butt lower. I think it still looks weird for some reason.

Oh and two random things:
I make really funny faces when I deadlift
I think my arms look somewhat decent at the top of my lift. Whaddya think Speedracer?
EDIT: My videos aren’t posting and are pissing me off. The 155 won’t even load to my profile properly. The 165 is there, but I will try later tonight again I guess :S
I actually think your form looks really good. You don’t lock all elements out at the exact same time, but that isn’t too major, especially considering you’re nearing the top of your weight limit.
Have you tried finding your deadlift 1RM anytime recently? Popeye face aside, you looked really strong on those. I’m still catching up with the rest of your log here, but your numbers have really shot up since the first few pages. I’m a slow reader, so I’ll jump the gun and ask how is it looking for your original September goal of 225??
…and my money goes on shoulder work as being the most funny-face inducing exercises. I feel like the old keystone-light bitter beer face commercial when I do lateral DB raises.

Thanks Borrek…
I spoke with Todd after I posted them and I expect his comments on here later (hint hint)… he said the same thing about my form and not exerting myself too much at this weight. It was after I donated blood, so I wasn’t lifting as “heavy”.
I haven’t tested my max, however Todd also said it would be interesting to see what part of the lift I fail on, so I might try that soon-ish. Right now my grip is my limiting factor. Working on it all.
As for my 225 goal, do you really want to know the answer? I’ll hint and say I haven’t squatted heavy in 6 weeks exactly today.
You’re form looks good to me. It appears like you aren’t even feeling that weight. I’m looking forward to seeing what your 1rm is. Do you live in a gravityless area?
