Like we discussed before, you always carry lube in your purse. You never know when you’ll need it. A girl guide is always prepared (I think it’s actually boy scout, but whatever).

PDL, why don’t you ever come harass me on my log?
He hates you. And he thinks you’re old and bitter and man hating. He told me.

Vader - you know it’s cheating if you put wheels on the bottom of the prowler skis right? Just saying…

If so, the only thing that bothers me about that is the long term wear and tear on the skis. There’s a rubber track at my old high school but it’s not too convenient to transport the prowler (plus plates!) from my place.

I think it’s probably the most badass piece of equipment you can order, though. Oh, and a power rack.

Yeah, you’ll have to let us know how the replacement skis hold up. I’ll be pushing mine on pavement as well…eventually!

Well, it sounds like you should be using the replacement skis if you plan on using it on pavement. I actually have three options for where to use it:

 • There’s a park by my house with a large field. This would be the most convenient option. However, the park is sometimes busy on the weekend and the surface isn’t uniform. That might be a good thing for the prowler use though.

 • The school by my house. They have a very long parking log that runs the length of the track. The parking lot is usually completely empty once school is out. Sometimes there are games on the weekend, but not too often. I’ll probably have less distractions if I use it here.

 • The track at the same school. It’s a dirt track, so there’s no rubber to worry about, but it is kind or gravely, so that might be an issue. There are also two large grass fields I can use it on there, but the park by my house is closer.
I hope you have a truck to load up the prowler and weights for transport.

I was telling PMPM this about you the other day…hmm. I am getting old and forgetting conversations.

I have that forum turned off. I’ll turn it back on, just for you.

You can’t use the force either.

Btw, as discussed, I don’t really know what that means. But I’m going with it

It means I can move it with my mind, which clearly wouldn’t be much of a workout either.

05/12 evening - Sprints

Didn’t run super hard, but I wanted to get a sprint workout in.

I thought, if you wanted to be technical, you moved it with little microscopic things you move with your mind?

Nice work Vader. What does your diet look like, if I may ask?

I’m slowing bumping the calories back up. I’ve been dieting since New Years and because over the last year my gym time was hit or miss due to all the injuries, I really have no idea what my maintenance calories level is anymore.

I’ve been eating about 2900 cals per day for the last few weeks and that definitely doesn’t seem to be enough, so I’m going to keep adding. Last night I ate about 3200 cals and significantly more carbs that I’ve had in the past. I think my totals last night were like 260 protein, 200 carb and 110 fat. I’ll probably stick around this level for a week or so and then adjust depending on results. I’m experimenting with Surge Workout Fuel finally, so it will be interesting to see how I respond to adding carbs around the workout like that. Normally, I’d avoid carbs except for Surge Recovery post-workout.

I’m sure I’ll have to keep adjusting as I add more work, like one the Prowler arrives.

Things are looking solid!

I vote for a prowler video when you start pushing it around.

I have some maniacal obsession with seeing other people suffer via prowler.

It will all fit in my CR-V no problem. The poles are removable, too.

I honestly can’t wait to try it out. I’m really hoping it gets here before Memorial Day, so I have the long weekend to play around with it, but I have a feeling it won’t be here in time.

I’m already trying to recruit people to join me for some Prowler sessions. I do have two friends that lift that I think would be interested, but they didn’t have any idea what a Prowler was when I described it to them over the weekend.

I’m also trying to get get Ponce to get off his lazy ass and drive up here to do a session as well. I’ll even share my Workout Fuel.

If I get some partners, there will definitely be video. Might be kind of hard to film myself outside without assistance.

Wednesday 05/13 - Cardio and crap.

This morning I did a bunch of SMR for the glutes and calves. They seem to be responding to the SMR already. They don’t feel nearly as tight as they did on Sat/Sun.

Then did a quick 20 minute yoga session.

In the afternoon I did 15 on the recumbent bike and then 15 on the treadmill (15 degree, 2.6 mph).

When I got home, I did a real quick circuit of shoulder stuff with a mini and micro band.

That’s it for today.

Cals are going to be around 2700, with 300g protein, 70 gram carbs and 120 grams of fat.

Ahhhh taking the low(er) carb approach, I like that. I respond better to a low carb (AD) style of diet. It’s worked good for me.

Any big plans for the summer?

Well, I kind of do a half-assed carb cycling approach in that on training days, I drink my Surge and Workout Fuel, so my carbs will naturally be much higher on those days, versus non-training days when I don’t drink Surge and Workout Fuel. That usually amounts for a good 100 gram shift in carbs on training days, versus non-training days.

Gotcha, makes sense. How are you liking Surge Workout Fuel?

And thank you for adding me on Facebook.

No prob.

Actually, I think it tastes kind of bad, but today I noticed more energy in the second half of my workout, so that’s a good thing.
