I want these pants:
I used to have black parachute pants and purple, tie-dyed parachute pants. I’ve always been swole.

They’d cover more than your current squat shorts.

No, just a bar on my back, but I might switch back to dumbbells until I feel a little more comfortable with them again.
Nice work on the front squats and overall AV. How are the Garhammer raises working out for you?

I like them. I do them on a slight incline to make them tougher. The interesting thing for me is that I seem to be able to make them harder every week without necessarily adding weight, reps or the angle of the incline. Just focusing on the abs more each week.

Good shit man. Was going through some old posts and noticed I told you “High Tension” was one of the worst movies ever. You ever get around to checking that nonsense out?

haha…I forgot all about that piece of crap. I did end up watching High Tension a few weeks after it was mentioned in that thread. I don’t remember if I posted about it there or a different one, but you were right. It was a terrible movie. It was comically bad and not in a good way, like some other horror flicks are.
I’ll have to get caught back up on your log. I didn’t realize you had knee surgery. How are things going with that? Looks like it’s progressing.
Ha, definitely on my top 5 worst flick list. If you got any movie recs fire away. The knee’s getting there, probably about 80% right now. Diggin’ the log bro, you’re getting strong. What are you weighing now?

Will do. I’ve mainly been watching older flicks lately as it seems that most everything new I watch sucks. I did like The Wrestler though and I thought Observe and Report was really funny, if you like sick and mean humor (like Bad Santa).
I was 198 on Monday morning, but some of that was due to beer bloat, as I drank a good amount over the weekend. I’m 192 today. I’m not really trying to lose weight at this point though. I want to keep getting my strength up, especially in the lower body now that everything seems to be good there. Maybe slowly lean out a bit, but I won’t be dieting or anything like that.
I’ve been eating around 2900 cals per day this week. My ranges on the macros are about 270-300 grams of protein, 120-160 grams of carbs and 100-130 grams of fat. I kind of naturally carb cycle in the sense that my carbs are significantly lower on my non-workout days since I’m not drinking anything pre or post workout.
I really have no idea what my maintenance level of cals is, so I’ll probably be tweaking a bit with the cals over the next few weeks until I find a good spot. I’m guessing 2900 isn’t enough, but we’ll see what I weigh on Sunday morning and go from there.
Thursday 05/07 - Hams and Calves
Today, you guys get to make fun of my terrible form. Seriously, comments and suggestions are welcome. I don’t think I’ve ever had anyone check my DL form before.

The Wrestler looks good. My girl and I rented Slumdog a couple of weeks ago, but haven’t got around to it. She suckered me into getting the switch any two deal from Blockbuster for $34 a month, and we’ve used it 3 times in 2 months. Solid investment.
2900 seems low for someone your size, but if you’re getting the desired results might as well stick with it. Good job on the sumos. Oh yea, if you want a creepy horror flick check out Henry: Portrait of a serial killer. It’s based on a true story. Haven’t seen it in over 10yrs, but remember it being pretty gnarly. It was also one of the first flicks to catch th NC-17 rating.
