I’ve been making my transition into massive eating. increasing carbs by 5%, and 350cals a week. i did the t-dawg diet with meltdown training for 8 weeks previous. I had good gains off the bat, but in the end i ended up losing 5lb of muslce. and gaining a little boodyfat.
when i finished i got tested with electrical impedence, bodyfat%11.3, FFM 136lb. 153.4 lbs. I was then 13.1% on calipers with an un-expeirienced user.
4 weeks later today, training with poloquin principals. on the impedence scale i came in at 12.3%bodyfat, and 147.8lb lean mass. at 168.6lb. then today the head of the department who was highly expierienced with calipers came in and caliped me at 7.7%. Does ne one kno the formula to find my lbm after this??
the thing is though i thought i was going to be like 20% bodyfat, i feel so fat. Im incredibly bloated i guess because all the carbs now. But i had plans of leveling off at maintnence for a week, then go 2 days maintence 1 day cutting for a week before going two weeks cutting. But since i came in decently low body fat wise i think im going to keep the calories climbing. What do u guys think? Even though im going into a strength phase?
I don’t think any tool for measuring body fat is 100% accurate. The best thing you can do is pick one tool, and stick with it. That way you can see if your body fat is going up or not. Whether your body fat is 12% or 15% isn’t that important. Knowing that your body fat went up 10% is.
should i try to level off my cals…or continute to increase them?
I was also going to add more training…besides my 3 days of bjj, maybe 2 days of thai boxing.
