Recently, I have had some injuries (frisbee incident) so I have had much time to sit around doing nothing, so I decided to update myself on supplementation and nutrition studies and cases.
I reviewed around 25 studies and read two books in the past week or so and from what I read…and I mean this literally…There is almost no research backing up any supplement’s measurable benefits with the exception of creatine and anabolic steroids.
I read about glutamine, chromium picolinate, tyrosine, BCAA’s, post workout protein, high protein intakes, nutrient timing, macro nutrient formulaas, et cetera.
And now I feel like shit for wasting a shit ton of money.
Does anyone have an opinion that can make me feel better about all the supps I buy? Or is the reading that I have done actually true?
