And there are several making fun of Obama.

Hey, BTW, I’m waiting on you to make your rape thread about the current bullshit the Dems have been throwing around like you did for that idiot Akin.
Or haven’t you heard because the media doesn’t blow up when a Dem says stupid shit?
I have no need to be fair and balanced I can be as biased as I like.
Put it up there though if they say stupid shit about rape they should be called on it.
Alinsky’s rules for radicals would be an interesting thread as they make a lot of sense on how to use and gain power. Ignoring his philosophical bent which you don’t like his ideas on societal change are money.

To Mufasa and the others who believe Hillary will win it: if she runs, I lean toward agreeing with you. But two things to consider: A) her health may preclude her from even running, though I believe the pressure on the first viable female candidate for president will be enough to outweigh anything but coma; and B) the admittedly formidable Clinton machine is 0/1 since the 90’s. She was up against a remarkable candidate in '08, but a loss is a loss.
If she doesn’t run or somehow doesn’t win the nomination, I believe the Republicans all but have it in the bag already.
Agree…her health will be the key.
The Primaries ALONE have become a brutal process, much less the Presidency. I would think that within the next year or so, we will know what she will do.
I also still like Christie…but HIS health is also an issue. A 400 plus pound person is only going to be so healthy.
Rubio? Great “window-dressing” for the GOP…but how much will the message change? I really don’t know.

His and Paul’s responce to the State of the Union were similar, and they both came up through Tea Party support. Rubio can be moderate enough, yet can still gain support from the hard right.
I would say, if someone doesn’t see the message change, and refers to Rubio as “window dressing” (I can read between your lines) they are too biased for it to matter anyway. If your mind is made up, why bother to listen to what he has to say?

I listen because Rubio stands to be a major player in the next election.
I will personally be listening to the 2013 CPAC convention to see how much the message has really changed.
While CPAC is NOT the GOP; it is a good barometer of the message/messages that Conservatives will be supporting (on not supporting) in the upcoming elections.
Right now it is OK to be a criminal if you are a BIG FUCKING CRIMINAL
Lol at Dodd-Frank making the big banks bigger, and you still try and find a way to blame the Republicans…
Priceless.
Agreed. Both sides are complicit in almost every mess we are in. Arguing who deserves the most blame on an issue by issue basis is really stupid. It’s like if two guys assault you the judge trying to figure out which one punched hardest to really punish.
It isn’t like the Republicans (and Democrats) didn’t work their ass off though to gut any type of wall street reform on shit they didn’t like that may prevent that from happening again.
Agree to give certain businesses huge cash infusions: Check
Prevent rules to keep those businesses from needing huge cash infusions afterwards: Check
Be prepared to repeat the above two over and over as often as necessary? Check

you will have to remind me which Party is against businesses being regulated ?
Democrats. Infact Dems only want to regulate coal and oil. They dont regulate Alternative fuels they even give them money to throw away. Dems also do not want to regulate Hollywood, and Wall Street.

Now Now. I love having sex with my wife all the time and I am a Republican. Republicans dont want to regulate sex. They only want to regulate the bad thing that happens after sex, usually during the first trimester.

The Dems were agaisnt regulating Fanny & Freddy. That worked out well.
Look not all regulation is bad, but you are linking a peice that is in large part due to Dodd-Frank, in so much that the banks are bigger than ever, and trying to blame the party that voted against the bill…
“and passing the Raise Act to allow all workers to receive well-earned raises without the approval of their union representative.” like this is the problem , talk about a crock of POO

The last primary season was utterly pathetic, but let’s see what happens in 2015-16. Democrats haven’t held the White House for three full consecutive terms since Truman. If I had to bet right now, I’d bet that the executive branch is going to change hands.
This wouldn’t be a surprise. Here is the field as I see it if the primaries were today:
Dem:
Hilary
Warren
Partick
Christie (Yes I’m going bold and say he switchs parties. The CPAC thing irked him.)
Biden
GOP
Rubio
Jindal
Rand Paul
Ben Carson
The woman governor who’s name escapes me at the moment
To people who understand Alinsky tatics and have brains the GOP field looks much more promising.
However as someone who will contend till the day he dies that if the media had any integrity at all Hilary would have won in 2008, She would be the least disasterous of the Dem field to win. Patick used to be decent, until he fully adopted Bamstyle. I doubt he’ll come back to Earth after tasting the holy water, GodKing sweat.
Martinez out of New Mexico. However, I think she really damaged her brand when she caved and agreed to set up the health insurance exchange under obamacare.
