You do realize that those “immigrants” that built this country did so legally by coming through Ellis Island? They came from their native country and assimilated into America. They learned the language, customs, and laws. Do you see that today, when illegals protest in the streets with their native flags, and signs written in Spanish? Do you see African, Asian, or European illegal aliens doing this shit?
This country will not fail if you took away illegals, they drain WAY more than they contribute. They essentially low-balled everyone in the construction industry, and I have never seen any illegal alien who could do a better job than a licensed contractor. He can do a cheaper job, but you get what you pay for. This country will not fail if we stop immigrantion. It will do the exact opposite. Yes this country was built by immigrants. It was built on quality not quanity. You can only pour so much soup into the “Melting Pot” until it overflows and burn the house down.

Here in California we have a HUGE problem. The issue is that they come over knowing they are illegal aliens, do not register and do not take the proper process for citizenship, but they can get a CA ID card and Drivers License. We have hipocritical laws like this that encourage illegals to come.

The other issue is the money they do make, most of it is under the table (shame on those hiring) and then a lot is sent down to mexico to family. It’s not distributed or taxed through US purchases. Pussys will always tell you that they do the jobs that no one wants to do. That’s bullshit. They take jobs away from citizens and don’t pay their share of taxes. For every $1 dollar of taxes they pay, they use $17,000 dollars of tax money for public services. My dad is a bread truck driver and an illegal immigrants almost took his job because he would do it for like half the salary.
It would be nice to have a government actually ENFORCE the law and deport them all.

My only question would be why is it ok for every other country on the planet to defend their borders and to deport people who are in the country illegally but when the people of the United States try to do it, we are called racists and xenophobes?

There are ways to immigrate legally but the criminal border jumpers think they deserve to break our laws, not pay taxes, get free medical treatment at emergency rooms, and even free tuition.
Why would we want people with such a disregard for our laws to be a part of our community?
And regarding the argument of stolen land, that is such a lame statement. Then every nation has stolen land. Mexico lost, the Native Americans lost. That is the history of the world and nations. And if you are in Japan, why not give it all back to the Ainu?
My parents came over here LEGALLY…and it wasn’t that hard for them to. My mom just barely got her citizenship 2-3 years ago. She has payed all her taxes like every other American… I’m Mexican-American and I agree with a lot of the people here though about the negative effects of illegal immigration. So that says a lot.
We need to start enforcing laws more ruthlessly. Yet the U.S. is to soft on shit like this IMO. I know of illegals with criminal backgrounds who have gotten caught 3-4 times and deported. To be back only 2-3 days later (couple g’s and it’s real easy). He has told me stories of young girls crossing illegally and getting raped by other men and people dying in the deserts, sad shit really. Yet that’s the risks they take!
