Replacement For Cottage Cheese..

Check the exp date on the cottage cheese. I find the freshest tastes a whole lot better than the soon to expire.

It is an aquired taste. I have gone on cycles where I ate 4 containers a day. Drove the store clerk crazy trying to restock…

I’ve never been able to stand cheese ever since I was a kid.

Cottage cheese on the other hand isn’t a problem at all once mixed in with other stuff that actually tastes good.

I use it in my protein pancakes. I also make a breakfast shake out of it with milk and blueberries and protein powder, and a night time shake with natural peanut butter, protein powder and icy cold water. Tastes great - like a liquid snickers.

Shame I’m out of Metabolic Drive - can’t wait to taste those recipes with that instead of my all left over protein.

It is humurous to me how some will suggest, referring to any food not just cottage chese, to suck it up and eat it. And some will say to not eat it if it bothers you. This is not meant to be a flame to anyone. It is just something that I notice and find to be funny.

I do not eat cottage cheese by itself or with anything mixed in simply because it triggers my gag reflex and will usually make me throw up. Personally I find that to be good enough reason to not eat something. If I just sucked it up and ate it anyhow, I would throw it up along with any other food still in my stomach. That just seems unwise to me.

However, as some have pointed out, there are several good alternatives. And my wife uses cottage cheese to make these cookies from a recipe we found on this site. I don’t remember the recipe, but I think they call for cottage cheese, Grow!, oat flour, and a few other things. They are very yummy and are a good snack or pre workout meal (if you eat enough).

Of course cottage cheese isn’t necessary. But when you eat eggs, tuna, turkey, chicken, yoghurt and grow all in one day… the cheese is just different. Who wants to eat the same thing twice? Buy some Metabolic Drive bars. But it’s hard to beat 4 cup tub of the cheese for @ $2.00. “Can a brotha’ get a witness?”

I make mine with enough extra junk its almost gourmet, and it hides the blandness…
oatmeal, walnuts, cinnamon and flax in the morning
add in chocolate pro powder and peanut butter together if you want it to taste like dessert
try tuna and lots of salsa at lunch
u can even mix with different spices for more of a southwestern taste.

Also, but in the food processer or blender if you cant stand the chunks.

Agreed. I like using Vanilla and Banana Metabolic Drive.
