Renegade questions

Re crossover pushups I have seen pictures where it appears to be more of a shuffle ie right on plate, left on plate, right off plate etc with no actual crossing over (refer to link in my reply to Benchin in the program) yet have read a post from Coach Davies where he describes it as left over right onto plate, right under left onto plate etc, which is correct? Also doing farmers walks really knocks around my elbows, almost a hyper extended feeling, anyone else have that problem and any suggestions. Finally when doing swings using dbells, hands neutral (thumb up) or back of hand up?

Hyphnz,
I’d go with what Coach posted, but you could alternate the two styles for variety. For the farmers walk, try flaring your lats and stick you chest out a bit and try smaller steps the thighs won’t move as much. As for the hyper extended feeling, can’t really help you, might be flexibility issues, or tendon strength issues(guessing). I have the benefit of working out at home so I put a 2 1/2lb plate on one end and the rest on the other end, then grab the 2 1/2 lb plate with palms facing each other and swing away.Hope it helps. Peace Tmofa

If you check out Coach Davies website, I have written an article on it called “Crossing over to performance” Hope this helps
Thank you,

Thanks for the replies, Tmofa I’ll give those a go. Dan, your article was the one with the photos I referred to, doing it that way definitely increases hand speed but the over, under way is a good variation.
