Religion Catch All

IMO, a society should start with all possible freedoms, and from there make laws forbidding certain things if there is a good reason to do so. Theft, murder and rape all have good reasons to forbid them. I have yet to hear a sound reason for forbidding homosexuality.

As to promotion of homosexuality, I haven’t seen it as has been stated here (a sort of selling it to children thing). I have seen promotion of acceptance of homosexuals. I think this is a fine thing. So what if every once in a while a straight person decides to change teams, because it is now acceptable to be gay?

Seems? What does that mean? If you knew, you wouldn’t say seems.

Where? One library? And no one is forced to go.

Well, that’s what happens when you have free speech. Do you hate freedom?

A talking bush said so. This is what’s funny about the religious people who say homosexuality and/or transgenderism are mental illnesses. Transgender people defy scientific and biological reality? Is it crazier to believe that someone could be wired to not feel as though their biological sex aligns with what their brain is telling them or that Moses had a conversation with a bush, Noah had an ark with two of every animal, eating a piece of fruit brought about the Fall, etc.? Let’s not even get into transubstantiation. Who exactly is defying science?

To me, it is understandable as a former religious person. Perhaps I once wasn’t open to the criticisms of my religion. I now see the Bible as an obviously man created piece of work (and not inspired by any superior being), with morals reflective of the time.

It was said above that it is a cheap shot to say the Bible allows for slavery, or instructs killing of gay people. Well it is in the book. If you want to advocate that others live their life by that book, I think those are fair criticisms.

I’ve had the “they/them” pronouns explained to me recently. It appears as if the individual is catering towards identifying as a gender that wasn’t assigned via biological birth, yet they are still biologically male/female; hence they/them. I can get behind/understand this, my prior understanding of the concept was extremely black and white.

These are fair criticisms, yet the bible says a lot of stupid shit that doesn’t make sense. To fixate on homosexuality would be to pick and choose. Most don’t interpret the word of religious scripture literally, or rather take towards individualistic sects that cater towards installing adequate morale. For this reason I do believe singling out homosexuality is a cheap shot. Its probably one of the most harmful/damning beliefs harboured within the religious crowd, but other odd beliefs (kosher/halal eating, multiple wives etc) also come to mind when I think of religious practices/beliefs that don’t inherently make sense to me.

That is preposterous… Vaginas can’t talk

Only if it caters towards a narrative that I don’t like dammit!

The amount of fucking around before I got married will make your heads spin. I think that’s how I managed to spot the qualities my wife had that complemented mine and lack of red flags. 15th year of marriage this year. I think people go on more dating and marry later. That’s just my opinion. Why? Because kids are maturing later nowadays. If this were the 80s I wouldn’t be saying this.

I think the worst people to go to for relationship advice are priests. You wouldn’t take go to a noob who can only quote studies and shit for training advice. Why would you take advice from a virgin priest who’s never been in a real relationship? I would like to see his sexual CV first when it comes to his life prior to the priesthood (idiots like me who find it hard to resist the obvious potential for “you know what kind of jokes” here please refrain from doing so lol.).

Also, when it comes to “toxic masculinity”… why are all the youtube fellows I see whining about this AREN’T MASCULINE? In which messed up universe would someone like Ben Shapiro be considered “masculine”? What do these nerds who suddenly have a platform know about masculinity? Seriously? You wanna listen to them about how to be masculine?

And there are merits to the idea of toxic masculinity, just that idiots push the idea too far. What’s new? Dogs eat shit. Dumb fucks say stupid shit. It’s normal. Masculinity is good. It DOES become toxic, for example, when “real men” don’t even dare seek medical attention for clinical depression. It’s that simple.

What its attempting to achieve is to normalise degeneracy in the minds of young children. Yes the children don’t yet understand the concept of gender, they are being educated in it. Their minds are impressionable. The same thing is being done transgenderism. It was virtually unheard of until it became popularised in the last decade. Now every kid is being told about it and that its normal, and maybe they fit into this statistical anomally.
What does the government do when it wants to educate children about an issue, eg brushing your teeth, crossing the road? They dress up someone in a costume, like a mascot and get them to educate the child. Not so long ago would have been unthinkable, in the general population. If you got straight deviants like swingers, or scantily clad porn stars or prostitutes to come in and read stories to children, do you think it would be accepted?

I don’t advocate forbidding homosexuality, just not promoting it to children. If they reach the age of consent and decide to go down that route, that’s their business.

You have people that are intentionally doing it, then you have weak minded useful idiots that are being manipulated into doing it. Its all part of the old KGB plan to weaken and demoralise the western countries, by undermining them from within, by promoting degeneracy as revealed by ex KGB agent and defector Yuri Bezmenov.

Actually its been occurring widely all over the western world, UK, Canada, USA, Australia, that I am aware of.

Well as you already know free speech is not entirely free, and has limits. Grooming children is a crime in many countries.

That’s what porn is doing.

Porn isn’t marketed towards children. As a matter of fact, most websites appear to have age gates (i.e confirm you are above 18 prior to entering). That being said, they could put more effort into ascertaining the viewer is actually above 16-18 depending on the content.

I know in Aus magazines like playboy generally have a 15+ age restriction, but hardcore (XXX content) with penetration and whatnot is 18+

Pornography has made certain sexual acts more mainstream as modern pornography unfortunately frequently features BDSM, rough play, facials (can I say that on here… I find this in particular disturbing as it is just so degrading) and other sexual activities that frequently cater towards domination and may not be pleasurable for the receiving partner… unless both parties are into that, in which case it doesn’t matter.

Someone should never be pressured to perform these acts due to a perceived sense of normality. Pornography has catered towards making once taboo/hardcore sexual behaviours mainstream.

I’d argue gambling/booze companies in Aus seek to normalise addiction/ill health as they actually appear to be marketing their products towards children. Big tobacco had this problem too, but the government has more or less shut this down with stringent regulations put in place over marketing.

This sounds like a conspiracy theory. Certain societal progressions undermine traditional conservative values, this does’t mean it’s an intricately designed foreign ploy to decimate western society.

Literally no one is advocating for this aside from perhaps those who harbour extremist beliefs. Normalisation of homosexuality isn’t inherently a bad thing, there is no evidence to suggest openly embracing a demographic of which has been systemically subject to persecution for decades will turn kids gay. Quite frankly, I’m for the normalisation of homosexuality/legalisation of gay marriage because I simply don’t care. It has nothing to do with me, it’s none of my business and it doesn’t intrinsically harm anyone. I certainly don’t believe there is anything “wrong” or “degenerate” about being homosexual and I wouldn’t think any different of any of my family members/friends if they told me they weren’t heterosexual.

Young children need not learn about gender constructs because it is a concept they wouldn’t be able to adequately comprehend. Tweens/teens probably should know what homosexuality is because it is an inherently normal feature within our society given around 3% of the Aussie populace identify with a non heteronormative sexual orientation. It’s fairly likely at some point they’ll come across a peer/classmate who identifies as homosexual, bisexual, transexual… whatever.

As have I. I’ve seen the following develop due to damaged relationships during youth, be it romantic relations or familial relations.

  • Absent father figure/strained parental relationships leading to an individual repeatedly longing after manipulative, cotrolling partners during adolescence.
  • Lack of a father figure/external validation from familial role models leading to promiscuity as a need to seek validation/a sense of worth from others.
  • Prior abusive relationships leading to an individual repeatedly seeking out individuals who bear the same red flags.

None of these can be correlated with same sex sexual experimentation. I’ve had a same sex sexual encounter before. I can’t say I particularly enjoyed it; I was very drunk at the time… Who cares, it’s not a big deal… No long lasting effects. Live and let live

Having worked with vulnerable children, who are threatened and abused if they are gay. I can say that most people know their sexuality way before the age of consent. I knew mine. People just learn to hide it, and I think that’s awful. I come from a country which imprisoned a great man for homosexuality even after he cracked the enigma code. There’s a reason a lot of these terms wherent known before, and it’s not because the people didn’t exist.

Take it any way you want. It comes straight from a former KGB’s operatives mouth, who exposed their methods to west, so its not actually a conspiracy theory, its conspiracy in practice. Yuri Bezmenov, the videos are out there on bitchute, maybe even a few might still be on youtube. Its a comprehensive attack on a country’s culture and institutions. Perhaps one area in isolation might not decimate a society, but the accumulation of many areas simultaneously has that effect. Its a long term, slow burn plan, over a generation or more, where most of the victims don’t even realise its happening.

There are numerous videos out there showing examples of how communist sympathisers have infiltrated and subverted major institutions in the west.

They weren’t even secret about it. They printed the advice in their Communist party newsletters.

I saw an article about a manifesto from NAMBLA or some other pedo promoting organization, and how they insinuated themselves in the education system. They stated how they were planning to pervert children, how the were going to do it, whilst the parents were preoccupied earning a living and paying off their mortgages.
This kind of shit isn’t a conspiracy theory, its actual conspiracy.

… no decent school is promoting NAMBLA, this is a blatantly toxic organisation and can’t be compared akin to the normalisation of homosexuality. A child is irreparably scarred when raped by a grown man/woman.

No one is (presumably) scarred through two consenting men (above the age of consent) engaging in sexual relations.

Expect a societal ‘clap back’ if the normalisation of pedophelia seriously goes mainstream.

Wolves in sheeps clothing exist. Pedophiles are more likely to infiltrate schools, religious institutions etc as they have ease of access to victims. If it’s systemically engrained it’s likely by direction from the organisation, not a collaboration/conspiracy to normalise pedophelia.

Just curious to what your actual job is?

The schools aren’t promoting NAMBLA. NAMBLA was outlining their plan of attack, and publically issuing a threat. I’m sure the pedo’s that have infiltrated the education system, don’t openly publicise their intentions or NAMBLA membership, as they would be removed immediately.

It’s not now, but one of my jobs has been as a community/youth worker. These are broad terms and probably mean a lot of things in different countries.

In essence I worked with supporting people where there was a gap in statutory agencies, even though I would work with public health, social services and charities etc.

I ended up working as lot with NEET which is not in education, employment and training. Which meant a lot of time working with young offenders, mental health, learning difficulties and with groups of young parents (16&17 year olds). I was lucky to work with some great specialists including therapists etc.

This work was very different to what I’d done before and was eye opening. It was tough, had a step learning curve but rewarding. But sometimes the outcomes where years away from the work you put in.

Yes, it is. Just like music videos with sluts and rap music.

Homosexuality is not marketed.
