Welcome to the male race.
Such thoughts are normal.
Acting on them rashly is not.[/quote]
I strongly disagree. Acting on them rashly is normal. It’s NOT normal to suppress our most natural and strongest urges.
but cheating is fucked up yeah.

I apologize for the long post in advance.
I am a 25 year old guy, working a job and trying to find my place on this planet.
I’m currently in a relationship for the last year and 3 months. The girl is the sweetest you’ll ever meet, she’s pretty and I’m pretty sure she’ll never cheat on me/treat me bad on purpose or be hurtful to me.
All in all, you’d say she’s a keeper.
Here’s the pitch. I cannot help but fantasize over other woman, other places in the world I’d like to visit, things in my life she isn’t a part of…
I feel like I am bad doing this and that I should appreciate what I have, but I am not completely happy in life. She is somewhat a part of me being unhappy in the sense that I feel that I am now accountable to someone and that I need to take her into account in every aspect of my life.
I’ve had this with my last girlfriend too. It’s not a matter of them not being nice or attractive, it seems like I am just an unappreciative idiot who can’t for the life of him figure out what and here his place is.
Any advice/wisdom or opinions you girls/guys have on this ?

It’s good that you’re honest with your feeling to yourself.
Monogamy is a horribly artificial construct and only “works” in that sense that it makes one or both partners miserable.
Breaking it to your girl that you want to shag other women is not an easy task. In my experience, threesomes quench that thirst for strange pussy and take sex just to a whole new level.
A couple pointers:
The other girl should be bi, two straight girls is just going to be super awkward.
Alcohol and/or party powder is a must to ease the tension.
So casually bring up that you’d like to see her get it on with another woman, hit the clubs together (gay clubs are always a plus because there’s less of an aggro vibe) and make it happen.

That’s why the vast majority of all societies that have ever come to being had monogamy as its basic sexual relationship between two individuals, right?

Marital monogamy yes. But not sexual, social, or even reproductive monogamy for that matter.

Officially, yes.
One must live within their own set of values and ethics. No one here can decide that for you. If you live by someone else’s rules you’ll drive yourself crazy and will live a life of stress.
Your advice of not leading her on was very true and lingered in my mind. I then decided to collect my balls and told her about my feelings. We decided that the best course of action for the both of us was to break things up.
The people here didn’t force me to do anything, but you did provide me with some nice insights.
Thank you
